Ok I'll give you a step by step guide on install the mod. Firstly make sure you have a clean vice city install or you could run into issues in the future.

 

Secondly I would recommend not installing SOL over your Vice City install as this allows to keep a back up that you can also use. Make a copy of your entire Vice City install. If you didn't install the audio to your hard drive copy it from your audio disk to your SOL install. So copy D:\Vice_City_Play\audio to the root of you State of Liberty install so in my case its C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA SOL\ (for a 32bit system it would be C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA SOL\)

 

Thirdly download the latest version of GTA SOL which is 69.3.2. Once this has downloaded extra the .7z file using a free tool like WinRAR. Go into the folder it extracted too and select every file. Right click on the selection and click copy. Now go to the folder your GTA SOL folder. Right click in that folder and click paste. You will get a pop up on Windows Vista and 7 will give you a UAC (or User Account Control) pop up asking you to press type in a password and press yes for security reasons. On any operating system it will ask you to overright any existing files which match names to the files from the GTA SOL download, press yes for this or the mod won't install correctly and your game will crash when you try to load it.

 

Finally execute gtasol.exe and configure your settings to what you want. Make sure the screen resolution is at least 800x600x32 for an optimal experience. Then press New Game from the first menu and enjoy GTA State of Liberty.

I have not extracted the files from the archive, an error of 14%

I am in my very first message, he wrote that I had a problem with 7Zip. If you do not want to help me and fill in a self-extracting archive files, then just say so

The issue with that is one of use would have to re archive GTA SOL as a self extracting archive and re upload it. This would take me an hour or so with my upload speeds. Also uninstall 7zip and install WinRAR.

There is no installer or Exe.

 

To have either would mean the files to download would be bigger and 7zip is not hard to find or install, its a case of extract to desktop

How do i run the devconsole?

ps. i am also running windows 7. cant even get to the loading screen, it just crashes

weres the version for GTAIV GTAVC is less poupular, many ppl have asked for the GTAIV version. will it be relased?

We run a poll for 2 weeks where the VC version come out on top.

 

We do plan to do a Rage version but this is going to take 2 years before this is released.

 

I had set this time period for 3 reasons.

 

Time it will take to develop the map.

 

Gives time for modding tools to be made.

 

This also allows Rockstar to make sales on GTAIV without mod interference.
