The radar has been fixed and customized to work with SOL map.

I fixed a number of errors in the gta3.ide file.

 

One of which was a wrongly pasted line.

Hallo. Ich präsentiere euch mit ... Die GTA: State of Liberty auf Linux-Guide ...

 

Eine einfache, aber ziemlich lange Anleitung zur Installation alles was Sie brauchen, um GTA zu spielen: State of Liberty auf Linux. Dieser Leitfaden wird rund um Ubuntu zentriert werden, wie das ist die am häufigsten verwendeten Distribution. Sehen Sie Ihre Distribution auf der Website Hilfe Abschnitt für Informationen über die Schritte 1 und 2. Auch die Steam-Version ist nicht kompatibel mit dieser mod. Ich werde auch erlaubt, Übersetzungen in andere Sprachen unten.

 

Schritt 1 - Installieren Sie alle Updates über Ihre Linux-Distribution die Update-Manager.

 

Schritt 2 - Installieren Sie Ihren AMD / nVidia-Treiber. Sie können die Treiber mit dem Tool Zusätzliche Treiber in Ubuntu, aber das sind die Treiber, die aus der Freisetzung waren nicht up to date diejenigen. Um die neuesten AMD diejenigen installieren Sie folgendermaßen vor:

 

a - Laden Sie die Treiber auf der AMD / ATI-Website zu finden. Um Komplikationen zu vermeiden, später auf, speichern Sie es in einen leeren Ordner.

 

b - Aktivieren Sie die Quellcode-Repository in Synaptic Package Manager, dann öffnen Sie ein Terminal und gib ein: sudo apt-get update

 

c - nach wie vor mit dem Terminal zu dem Ordner, wo Sie die Treiber heruntergeladen und Art navigieren: sudo sh AMD-driver-installer-12-2-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/[Release Codename] (10.04 - Lucid) (10.10 - Maverick) (11.04 - Natty) (11.10 - Oneiric) (12.04 - Precise)

 

d - Um die erstellten deb-Dateien installieren, Typ: sudo dpkg-i * .deb

Hinweis: Im Falle eines der Pakete gebrochen, offene Synaptic Package Manager sind und gehen Sie auf Bearbeiten -> Fix Broken Pakete. Falls Sie neu bei Ubuntu sind, bedeutet hier, dass einige gebrochen abhängigen Pakete sind noch nicht installiert. Sobald Sie heraus sortiert werden das Problem wie oben angegeben durch den Synaptic Package Manager, sollte das Problem von fehlerhaften Paketen behoben werden.

 

e - mit der Installation fortfahren, Folgendes ein: sudo aticonfig -initial

 

f - Nach diesem Befehl starten Sie Ihr System. Wenn alles richtig ist, wird der fglrx-Treiber, die auf AMD / ATI Catalyst 12,2 entspricht installiert sein und auf Ihrem System. Um die Treiber zu bestätigen arbeiten öffnen Sie ein Terminal und tippe: fglrxinfo

Sie sollten eine Ausgabe ähnlich der folgenden:

display :: 0 Bildschirm: 0

 

OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.

OpenGL-Renderer string: ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Serie

OpenGL version string: 3.3.11554 Kompatibilität Profil Context

 

Sie können Änderungen an der Konfiguration durch den AMD / ATI Catalyst Control Center zu machen, kann er entweder in Ihrem Menü Anwendung finden oder Sie können es über ein Terminal starten wie folgt aus: sudo amdcccle

 

Und für nVidia-Treiber

a - Für nVidia ist es ziemlich so einfach wie mit dem Zusätzliche Treiber-Tool. Benutzen Sie diese Website (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia) für eine mehr in die Tiefe Anleitung oder wenn Sie wollen, etwas anders zu machen.

 

Schritt 3 - Jetzt ist unser System auf dem neuesten Stand und wir haben die Einrichtung des Respo für Wein. Gehe in Terminal und geben Sie ein: sudo add-apt-Repository ppa: ubuntu-wine/ppa

 

Schritt 4 - Gehen Sie in Synaptic Package Manager. Wenn es nicht auf Ihrem System installiert zu gehen installieren Sie es via Ubuntu Software Center. Verwenden Sie das Suchfeld, um für Wein suchen. Installieren Sie WINE 1,5, sortiert nach neueste Version nicht der Name des Pakets, wie es mit ist, die alten Paketnamen, um Probleme mit Menschen, die auf WINE installieren zu speichern. Installieren Sie WEIN und alles andere Paketmanager fordert Sie auf, zu installieren.

 

Schritt 5 - Nun, da wird Wein gehen in Terminal und geben zu installieren: winecfg

 

Schritt 6 - Dies ist, wo aa Kopie von GTA San Andreas wäre hilfreich, aber es ist nicht erforderlich, wie ich einen Download-Link zu den Dateien benötigen Sie später zu posten. In deinem GTA San Andreas Scheibe installieren Sie das DirectX aus, dass.

 

Schritt 7 - Gehe in Terminal und tippe: winetricks directx9

 

Schritt 8 - Install Vice City. Kopieren Sie beide Installations-CDs auf Ihre Festplatte wie Ubuntu nicht zulassen, ändern Sie den Schwänzen, wenn es von der ersten Platte installiert wird.

 

Schritt 9 - Load Vice City und Ihre Einstellungen ändern. Ihre Bildschirmauflösung muss mindestens 800x600x32 sein

 

Schritt 10 - Laden Sie die neueste Version von GTA State of Liberty. Bevor Sie sie auf deinem Vice City Verzeichnis und löschen Sie main.scm als die in GTA main.scm SOL main.scm ist und Ubuntu Groß-und Kleinschreibung, damit es nicht überschreiben. Jetzt in den GTA SOL-Dateien zu kopieren und starten Sie gta-sol.exe und wir sind gut zu gehen.

I have been looking around at all the other GTAIV mods out there and I have been blown away, I have spent way too much time on the Vice City Engine and in time this is going to change as there is going to be a port to SA and Rage.

 

Ok.. This topic I would like to start talking about Rage modding and we can try to work some of these ideas into SOL now and SOL being made for Rage.

 

Now I have to ask, What is the best Rage mod and what makes this mod special from the rest? Maybe we can vote towards the best Rage engine mod and this is why this topic is here.

 

So the first contender is the Vice City mod, look at the sky and lighting effect, The first game on Rage should have been VC, am I right?.

 

Vice Vice in this video looks beautiful.

 

 

The SA map uses the same size mappable game area. still I think I like SA on the SA engine better as the models are very poorly detailed.

 

 

I did not understand the point of just porting GTAIII to Rage but this does look good.

 

 

There are a lot of realistic mods around. there is one that stood out the most and I can not find this on Youtube.

 

 

I posted this topic to inspire people and say that there has been some cool stuff created on the Rage engine but we can still do some amazing stuff on the Vice City Engine, This will take time.

 

Oh and a friend posted me this as I was writing this.

 

 

This was on the SA Engine, Still the whole point to the SOL project is to see what is possible on these engines more so the Vice City Engine.

I'm one of the developers of GTA 3 Rage, so it mean when it will finish, no problem to use this in sol. But first i think about conversion of mainland and then MLL on Rage engine.

T-800 what's that?

I don't know what T-800 is. I don't even own GTA IV on PC, must buy that soon. Hmm I think the San Andreas of RAGE is good.

I think you guys should do SOL on the San Andreas Engine.

 

Theres a lot of space to work with, a lot of tools to use, will still look good and won't feel slow and weird like GTA IV.

 

Possibility of your own SaMp version like gta united has or had.

Rage is good gfx wise but GTA SA has more going for it, Vice City Stories PC Edition looks sexy on GTA SA and I think SOL would too.

I have a problem with this installation, i followed the guide on installing GTA:SOL, but everytime i start gtasol.exe i get this

 

 

Unhandled exception: c0000005

At address 006f6330. can you help me please? using version 69.3

I replaced VC's draw text function with my own and this is what you get!

Fonts like Times New Roman and Comic Sans do not look good because filtering does not work and they look kind of high in pixels when minified.

I used the Calibri Font here.

Will put more work into this.

I agree, once you're talents were shown on ECS, it seems natural for you to move onto this.

How have you been though? Missed you m8. smile.gif Since ECS and SOL uses the same engine, I could learn and apply hacks to both of them.

EDIT: I am not gonna edit those files for now. Because at the end, those files will be rendered useless. I am gonna make them load from SOL's own library.

7Z not want to work for me, is not extracted from Winrar, an error of 14%, please, if not difficult to fill in the archive in .exe

Rage is good gfx wise but GTA SA has more going for it, Vice City Stories PC Edition looks sexy on GTA SA and I think SOL would too.

The SA engine is very limited in many ways.

 

IDE, Bounds, Totally usable objects seen at any one time.

 

The SOL map uses 26000 objects where the SA engine limits IDE entries to just 19999 and this can not be hacked within a reasonible amount of time.

 

The map boundries are another issue for paths and being able to generate the water tiles.

 

SA Engine does not have the tools for job.

 

So the only positive jump would be towards Rage.
