i wouldn't like to see the bridge too long. That would look ugly. What about if u create a ferry boat that would drive u to the other side. And a trip skip feature like in SA when u fly to other cityes

Requards to what some may think (No names!).

 

Reply's to other posts i've made on here, through-out the forum, Not happy at some of the things said.. but ok..

 

SA will come in time, and is by no means an easy feat, it's one of the hardest mods i've ever done, and i'm not someone who gives up either.. (I'm someone who doesn't know when to quit.. ), I won't settle with, it can't be done through...

 

SA news, will come in time, I uploaded the last mod.. beta 8 for the time being...

 

Andy and Disasociative have joined the team..

 

I will be taking a break.. Teun the new mod is online and you know what to do, Version 2 is what we should work on now, but give Disasociative and Andy some lee-way, because there are some things whey want added too.. and we can combine our ideas aswell.

 

I need to sort out my moving to Canada stuff so I'll be away for some time..

 

Takecare.. Look after the mod.

I've done some changes to my claude skin, it doesn't have a claude look now. Not to be picky, but where's the download? On GTAGarage, nothing; on http://events.ukscifi.net/gta/, error. I think Disasociative's made a new map layout, and he's moved the maps, but I'm not 100% on that. Hope you have a good trip.

The error you have giving me, indecates that you dont have enough

memory or you not running the game from the GTASA-LVC.exe

 

(I have a newer patch on the waym anyhow)

 

I need to know the stats of your machine...

 

IE: Ram, Cpu Speed, GFX Card Memory and Make, any custom drivers

you may have apart from the norm.

 

Windows XP(win2k) or 98? (Linux even for thoses who can run GTA

under WineX)

 

I would like to think the mod sould work on a Machines that has

512Megs of Ram and given the Map Size, Using a Cpu running at 2.0Ghz+,

with 128 Megs on a good GFX card.. (Nvidia 6800 or ATI X800)

 

I need a poll set up for this too..

 

What specs people have now days..? Teun?

Well I am running it with GTASA-LVC.EXE.

 

SYS Specs:

RAM - 1GB Clock - DDR400

CPU - AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socket 939

Clock Speed - 2200mhz plus 1ghz hypertransport

GFX Card - MSI NVIDIA Geforce 6600GT-VTD128 - 128mb Lets say huge mods still worked fine when I had my GF4 Ti 4400 so this should not be the problem

OS - Microsoft Windows XP Professional

HDD - 160gb Maxtor SATA150/400GB Western Digital IDE/250GB Maxtor IDE

I have been watching this mod for a while and I would like to suggest a few things.

 

1. map 2 looks better as they shouldn't be that close together that you can see one from the other no matter the draw distance.

 

2. instead of having a long bridge on between them on this one just have a tunnel instead of the long highway going through the sea.

 

3. why not make every building enterable and have unique interiours(sp?) for them. this could be left till last but would add more to the game, certaing houses and buildings have wepons and such left lying around.

 

and a few questions.

 

1.were will capitol city be on the second map.

 

2.will you's be adding cars from the other games or replacing them.

 

3. what is going to be added through the tunnels in liberty city as this would be an interesting place as i'm sure everyone has wondered whats through there.

 

4. once this mod has been made how easy will it be to add other island around there as you could place other peoples island and eventually create a world of gta or will this not be possible.

 

these questions are geared to both the vice city and san andreas versions.

This will be possible, and the tunnels will most likely have trains. Then about the tunnel to the cities, it would be cool off course, we could discuss this. smile.gif

why not put polls up on your forums for all the different ideas. and add links in the signutures of the team so people can get there easier as i have needed to go through all the pages of this topic to find the link.

 

why not have a couple of tunnels run beside each other. 1 for train 1 for cars. very long bridges would make the world look ugly in my opinion. think off a bridge across the atlantic or pacific it would look ugly no matter what type of bridge it is.

 

also how is the site going. if you's need a hand with coding it i could help as i understand php html and some java. i can also create flash animations if someone provides image. thats the only thing i'm not good at.

 

also i just though is the radar getting the map in it as all the screens i've seen seem to have most of the map missing.

 

i'm sitting in work bored so i'll just be sitting and thinking of things for this mod

Beta 0.8 has been released! Go download it, the following features are in it:

 

Liberty City and Vice City, either Layout 1 (Next to each other) or Layout 2. (Away from eachother)

The first one has a bridge, I believe, and the second one hasn't. (I think, haven't tried this version out yet)

 

The player model is being made... Any (model) suggestions?

I downloaded the mod but it didn't work. I followed the easy instructions in the Readme to the last. After the first attempt, I uninstalled and re-installed VC from scratch (did a regestry clean-up too). So after I re-installed VC, I tried to install the mod again. Same error. Once I click on "New Game", I get an Unhandled Exception Error. Nothing I've tried is successfull. Does anyone else have this problem? And, does anyone have a solution?

Sorry I do not mean to be disrespectful or anything but why did you guys start a topic on GTA:LVC SA engine if nothing has been done on the SA engine i have not seen any pics on your project for SA engine.

It's called PLANNING AHEAD!! This topic has been started to discuss the sa stage, and plan what the team's gonna do! So, that's the easiest explaination..

hey everybody i fixed the waterpro.dat so now it covers what was missing you can d/l it here it might not be up yet due to the waiting of approvel from the web site

Given you have installed the game using a legel copy of GTAVC..

Copy all the contents of your Play_Vice_City disk (2) into your GTA VC Root folder.

 

That's one idea...

 

I also think somehow files are being missed when being imported to the GTA3.img file..

 

I can not see any other reason why some people say the mod works, where others say the mod doesn't work..

I understand planning first then move in. I understand that but from what I heard you guys finished the VC engine of your project so the next step for you guys is just converting your project to SA format and wiping out the SA map to put in your guys map to SA engine.

 

They released a script for 3ds max to help people convert models to SA format. That should help.

1 try to rebuild the gta3.img with the tool provided

 

2 try to copy all of the audio files from the gta play disc to the audio folder in yourVC directory

 

3 make sure everything is in its proper place cheack the gta-vc.dat line make sure it matches with the one provided

 

if there are anymore problems please let use know what they are, and if you are still getting this probelm we will try to help you solve it

Thanks for all your help. I will try later when I get home from work. I finish at 5pm GMT. So I'll post an update at about 6pm.

The only thing I did differently than normal was to install GTA VC to another drive, I followed instructions exactly (Twice). I'm going to try and import smaller groups of files into img tool as opposed to the whole at once, this may be causing problems.

 

Oh yeh, and I opened it up in MooMapper and noticed that the Bridge was there, the army camp area, but the whole of Liberty City was missing, all the IPL files were selected, so something funny going on (or maybe it's just me).

 

 

P.S. I am running Windows XP x64, not that it should make any difference

1, I tried it with respawn's image tool and the one stated in the instructions both give the same results

 

2, I have already done that

 

3, I will check that when I have more time
