Yay! Good work 007 Roadrunner! Good news for me too, my damn internet is back! I'm gonna work on stuff. I have some stuff to do for the mod, but school is most important at the moment. Not that I'm that busy (yet). Tux, give me an update or something, you aren't online.

Well, the ZModeler 2 code thing is.. is.. HE WANTS A SERIAL CODE FOR ZMODELER 2! Oh man, no warez at this forum... and learn to use the period '.' and capitizilation.. On the other hand, a new mapper..? time to update the image I made for the intro. I know how to extract music from videos and stuff, so i can extract the sa theme, vc theme, gta III theme (already done btw).

 

I put up my hand for pausing the mod's progress.. because Mc-Kay isn't here, and so the team isn't getting much work done. EXCEPT fixing the lod bugs that teun.steenbekkers was talking about. Here's a cookie for the team .

I've offered my help Teun and I were talking a while and mckay... I even have a certain file for the capital.

 

Just awaiting pics of requested models for it , so if anything needs to be done while other stuff is being done, you can send me some pics in PM. Currrently I'm making CodeName: Grove (new video later tonight, Teun ) and working on a tower for Glasgow. I'd like to help everyone I can!

@Dertyjerzian: Yeah, you said you wanted to help with Capital City, but I don't know if Roadrunner and Niels have IRC... And what is this Glasgow, isn't that a British city?

 

Offtopic: How can I open port 80 with an Eminent Router, the Virtual Server, Adress Mapping, and Special Applications don't work.

In my sig Teun, this is apparently the intro video to Glasgow. I'm temp hosting it, so I wrote up the nifty page. It has a GTA3 style, I regard it as a promo. I hope to sway them to something far more creative. A GTA3 rip video is... promo-like. Their team is getting big, but I'm the only modeler and I said I'd help with important pieces, not model the whole thing! I am listed as a team member?!? Cool, I dig it I could go further but I don't want to spam it up here. But the video has pictures of architecture.

 

On Topic:

 

What you need to do, Teun, is send me a few pictures of bridges that your team will need in the PM so that I can begin drafting one, and telling me how long they should be won't hurt either, as well as extra information you guys may come up with.

I have almost finished a PHPBB forum, and when I have created the topics, I will give out the URL here so you all can join. All topics are unlocked, avatars and signatures are enabled, and so is the ability to change your username. I'm still working on a website, but the forum is almost done. This is good news, because I can update stuff easily. We hope you will join though, this way we can optimize the mod.

 

EDIT: The forum is not just about the mod, we will have gangs, and we off course need people to become part of a gang, and the ones who come first will be moderator of that forum section. He will create rules for the gang, and I might create custom images for that, but I have yet to figure that out. Feels lonely, being the only member here.

 

I'll be gone tomorrow, to Luxemburg, for school. I'll be back Friday, in the evening.

I was thinkin if we could put some small islands between the big 1s withe a savehouse and maybe a private airport or with a hotel or something so it won't be only sea

Well, I don't know if I should continue making the installer for lvc (3341 files..? that's going to take me forever to put into a batch file). You've done a great job, and I've been told that a crash happens when you reach the end of the bridge from vc -> lc, and one of the lods were corrupted and it's been fixed by commenting it out (?) or removing the whole entry(?)..

 

((?) means I'm not sure.. it's just my thoughts. I don't know because well, pretty obvious, i'm not on the team)

It's because of a corrupted LOD and i fixed it by commenting it out.Anyways, since mc-kay fixed that bug, we eon't need it in the next release or a suprise patch from mc-kay (?)...

Just dropping a line to let you know I still am watching you guys and anything you supply pictures for can be modeled!

 

As for that LOD bug, not fixable?!? Can't generate a new one?!? If it's close-up is the same shape etc as the LOD, import it to max and rename to LODbnm if the file is named asdbnm, export a new col and dff for the new LOD and spawn it exactly as the close up version, but with 2999 view distance. Should work GREAT. My LODs are all full quality, sh*t looks soooo real froma distance.

DUDE!??!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!??! It's going to lag computers allllott.. i mean, who actually plays with lods as full quality? I think the next release is going to make the game go slow, and full quality lods will just mess it up EVEN MORE!
