Who here feels the need to 100% complete a GTA game?

Recommended Posts

Simple question.

I do it because GTA is one of my favourite franchises, and I really like experiencing everything the developers put in the game For us to play.

I must admit, I'm a bit of a completionist... really like the idea of getting ready for the next installment, by completing the current title.

Anyone else feel the same about GTA or any other spesific titles, with "sentimental value"?

100%, 0 Deaths, 0 Busted, 0 Cheats, 0 Missions Failed, and a Special Vehicle Collection = Only way to play GTA for me...

Dude, any tips on the zero death playtrough ;)LOTS of reloads :p

OT I do. I'm at 98.5% right now on my new gen play through. All I've got left is the big triathlon, the finale mission and Tonya's last job.

Unfortunately, my game has glitched out and that f*ckwit Tonya is not answering her f*cking phone.

Bollocks!

Exactly ^^^^

Granted, not THAT much. Depends on your skill level. If you suck and want 0 deaths, you will need a LOT of reloads. But if you are quite good, you can probably do each game with only having to reload a handful of tries for certain things. Not everything. I have a way of doing a lot of stuff first try these days or in the first 3-5 tries if it's an actual challenge...

I am not talking GTA V, I am talking ALL GTA Games...I do the SAME sort of playthrough in III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, IV, TLaD, TBoGT, and V. Soon, I will be doing the same in CTW for Mobile...

All you do is Save the game before doing something difficult. If you die, reload. If you fail, reload. It's quite simple to have 0 in the stats once you finish the game. But you gotta be dedicated and quite stubborn to have perfection...

Ive only done 100% stats completion since GTA3.1-2 wasnt that interesting at the time. Props for 0 deaths and mission failed saves!

Thanks, but honestly, that's the easier part. The hardest part is obtaining the Special Vehicles during my playthroughs. I doubt many people even know such Vehicles exist in these games, though. I am talking Bulletproof, Damageproof, Explosionproof, Fireproof sort of Vehicles. They exist in III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, and IV. You just have to know how to get them, where to find them (certain missions). They don't need cheats to obtain, either. THAT is the hard part. The 100% with perfect stats part is the easy part for me :p

i have all special vehicles assosiated with 100%ing. Is there any special in V? dukes of death isnt special? Or space docker ?

People with a superiority complex.

I hear you, and I can understand your opinion very clearly. Tho, not everyone fits that personality trait, some just like doing everything availiable for their own reasons such as getting your money worth, or playing your favourite game and wanna do it all to see what rockstar has created for the players. Aka user experience

Yes. I don't feel the "need", I just think it's cool to do.

Lol, yeah I know. I try to 100% most of them but there's just way too much to do (except V)

Keeping in mind, finishing from 0 to 100% takes literally 20-30 hours of in game time. The longest playthrough I have to 100% is SA and IV. SA has just shy of 55 hours and IV has just shy of 58 hours. Does this sound like a long duration of not getting some booty to you?

I don't need to play it for months to finish it. It's done in about a week, putting 3 hours into a game each day. If you can't do it, it's not my problem. You can have 98608690580689508 Deaths and Cheats in your Stats. Why would it affect me?

I never used to care about 100% in games but these days I do. I didn't receive 100% on GTA IV because I didn't want to kill all the pigeons and do the stunt jumps. I beat GTA V 100% recently but the means hardly justified the ends.

The only two games I've ever completed to 100% are GTA IV and LA Noire. It's not something I normally aspire to achieve.

A few years ago I got 100% for GTA IV, TLAD & TBOGT, and didn't feel the need to reload the game at all. 100% completion with deaths and missions failures is still a decent achievement.

Since then I want to finish off the 3D era to 100% but it's not high on my priorities. Maybe one week I'll have a massive session and finish off III, VC and V as they are very close.

bahraini_carguy

GTA Games is one of the few games that i finished %100 of it.I did %100 complete on GTA III (PC), Vice city (PC), San Andreas (Pc and ps2), Liberty City Stories (PS2), Vice City Stories (Ps2), IV (PS3), TLAD (ps3), TBOGT (ps3), Chinatown Wars (on my old ipod) and lastly V (ps3 & ps4). I always do it with 0 wasted and busted and get Special type vehicle (Bullet, Fire, Damage, explosion..etc proof and special Super Rare vehicles).

I'm surprised that a lot of people who call them self's gta hardcore players didn't get %100 or some didn't even finish the storyline and yet a guy like me got them %100 on almost all gta games.

You just brought back terrible memories of pushing a burnt out shell of a car towards a save spot for what seemed like an eternity. Never again.

I have to say, you're pretty hardcore.

Off topic but Militia is there any way to get the Andromeda plane from that mission(forgot name) in SA?

I`ve always completed each GTA up to 100% once, only for the hell of it. But i admit that going for 100% includes a whole lot of boring, tedious, annoying and time consuming activities for a sh*tty rewards so i`m done with this crap.

I don`t need to go on boring dates, collect the f*cking spaceship parts or shooting 200 pigeons only for a stupid anihilator that doesn`t even spawn when it`s suppose to or to have 3 fake UFOs in the air.

I wouldn`t mind if the tasks required for 100% would be fun but they are really tedious in every game so far. So for the future GTA games i don`t plan to do it anymore.

I tend to only do what i like. Completing the story and those tasks that are fun to me and that`s it. Besides i have noticed that i`ve never went back to my 100% to play it further because i think that the whole game looses a point of doing anything other than cop chases or shootouts after i`ve beat the storyline so there is another reason why going for 100% isn`t worth the efforts.

IMO of course, it`s just my own perspective.

There is MANY Vehicles that you must do that with in SA. Even worse, is using a double sawn off shotgun to shoot the blown up wreck back to a Garage to be re-newed in the Garage. There is 4 Vehicles in SA that require that. I only ever had the patience and skills to get 3 of those 4. The 4th one is the AP Greenwood which is so hard to shoot back during the rioting peds shooting at you. During "End of the Line."

Militia is there any way to get the Andromeda plane from that mission(forgot name) in SA?

It's called Stowaway. And yeah, it's possible to get it. But I don't think it's all that necessary :p

That is why I collect Special Vehicles. After 100%, it gives me something to do. There is nothing like driving indestructible cars and launching off things and doing absolutely crazy stuff, knowing your vehicle can't be destroyed, unless flipped upside down.

You also name GTA IV and V mainly for Rewards. Yeah, these suck. But amazing rewards in VC, SA, LCS, and VCS...

The thing is, I don't go out of my way. People keep claiming "I don't do this cuz it's boring, or too tedious, or I don't like it." But nothing is really over the top challenging, tbh. Nothing is all that boring (except 100 Taxi Fares or things to that nature that you do the same task over and over x100).

However, if I had to pick, the most tedious of all the GTA Games is IV, yet, people like to complete this one for some reason. 200 Pigeons is by far the most tedious aspect out of any GTA Game to date. I never minded 250 Collectables in SA, I never minded 99 Red Balloons in VCS, and I never minded 100 Hidden Packages in III, VC, or LCS. I also don't mind the 50 Sea Gulls in TLaD or TBoGT, nor the 50 Space Ship Parts and 50 Letter Scraps in V. All that isn't bad. It's the damn 200 Pigeons that is like pulling teeth from IV.

Also, I have yet to experience the 100 Security Cameras in CTW as a Collectable, but I soon will find out... :D

True.

The main problem with pigeons is that you almost always get a wanted level for exterminating them because for some reason whenever i shoot the pigeon there`s a cop in a close proximity. It`s probably scripted this way to annoying the player.

Oh and the fact that there are 200 of them. I could do with 100 but 200?

So the pigeons are by far the worst collectables in any GTA so far.

Well, in VCS, 99 Red Balloons are popped via shooting each one with a gun. The cops are even WORSE in VCS as they can pull you out of the Vehicle and bust you quicker than any of the 3D Era GTA Games. Since that's the case, it's best to save every 10. Don't want to do lets say 30-50 in a row, then get busted and have to re-do them (reload since you got busted and must keep the stat at 0).

It's just the amount in IV that is horrendous. We wouldn't even have this convo if there was 100. 200 is just overkill and ridiculous.
