If Free Mode was like IV Free Mode... Would you still play?

I'm talking about when Free Mode was when the weapons were scattered throughout the entire map and you were able to customize the preferences of the lobbies you wanted to join. Not having to worry about being a "Bad Sport" or blowing up someone's "Personal Vehicle" and all the other things.

 

If Free Mode in GTA Online was like Free Mode from IV would you still play?

 

To make things more better to cater to different player's style of play, how about adding "Classic Free Mode" sessions in GTA Online?

Hell yes. Apart from IV having its online mode, it also had those game mode lobbies, such as the Team Car Jack City and the other few modes. It added some variety to the game apart from just having Online lobbies and just being able to mess around. Lobby preferences that IV had were just spot on and it was really nice being able to choose the kind of lobby you wished to join or being able to start your own private lobby with whatever preferences you wished.

I played free mode sessions 99% of the time in GTA4, so, yes.

 

R* could add it as a game type: "classic free mode" with options to join random or host custom free mode lobbies, with tailor-made options. No RP or $ effects.

As much as I liked GTA IV, the free mode sessions were really boring. Although the competitive matches were quite good

You might've enjoyed the FMs I hosted. I set cops off, area was the airport, 30 second respawn, friendly fire off.

 

The last part is key: get RPGs from the helicopters and try and use game physics to blast players around the map.

 

I got a whole load of people from here to join in, we called it "the lolocaust" because in the midst of the chaos all you could hear was people laughing their arses off as bodies bounced around the city, surviving 4, 5 or 6 blasts and accidents, one after another.

 

Two of us played tennis in the car park with a random body. Great times.

I like to customize cars and ride my bmx then wreaking havok in a jet. So no, I would get bored quite quick.

I think there needs to be a "Classic Free Mode." I haven't touched V in a while but once I give it another try, I'd like there to be more options. Sometimes, I just want to wreck havoc with my friends without worrying about cops, bad sports, etc. Sometimes, it's fun to just chill and take us back to the basic of modes.

GTA 5 Online is so much better in every possible way. GTA 4 FM felt like a tacked-on afterthought to the Singleplayer mode whereas GTA 5O actually feels like its own game.

If people want to simulate it then create a map sized deathmatch with spawned weapons only and scatter them about, you can even turn police off and traffic if needs be.

It wouldn't work at all. You'd have to remove the Tank, Lazer, Buzzard and most explosives. All people would do if it wasn't a friendly lobby would just blow everything up.
