What's the appeal of motorbikes?

Recommended Posts

I've encountered various people committed to them in every aspect of travel, but I don't understand it.

Is it a hipster thing? Do you find yourself wishin your car was thinner that often? Do you just like being an organ donor?

I personally pick my rides for maximum protection without sacrificing.performance, so a bike is the last thing I go for.

when i see someone using one, i either imagine they have a genuine like for motorcycles, or they use them because some of them cover ground better than most/all cars

i have a like for motorcycles, but don't own any since it doesn't exactly top my interest for 4-wheeled vehicles. :\

that and i always felt they had a lack of customization options, so they almost always look the same to me.

i have 3 bikes...

the independese bike, western daemon and a bati.

i use none of them as i cant take a corner without flying off.

i used to have a hachuchuchu bike and sold the thing for the same reason already stated.

the independence bike and the daemon are collectibles i dont use them. the bati is an adder-untainted bike worth 760k if not mistaken, left over from the mule-bike duping glitch!

The Lonesome Drifter

My ruffian can outstrip a zentorno on any actual route, while keeping at the same speed as it on a motorway. ;););)

But to answer the question. Bikes give you agility, and breakneck acceleration alongside speeds that can even beat an adder (although only the bati and the hakochou can actually beat an adder in speed), all for a price that's about 1/100 of the price. Sure if you directly smash something head on most likely you'll get dismantled and spend about 10 seconds getting back on your bike, but the agility is able to make the time you lost within seconds.

Just take a bike around the hills in Blaine county. Or better yet drive from madrazo's house to Trevor's airfield. Once you see how fast a bike can get over all those hills, you'll understand the aroma of the motorcycle ;)

Well, it's obvious bikes are the fastest form of transportation over land.

But along that are a few other cool perks:

Once you get a hang of them, you can do some really cool stunts with bikes like the Bati, Ruffian and Hakuchou....like flying over high buildings etc.

Everyone that you chase or chases you expects you to be in a car....the advantage that gives you far outweighs the vulnarability you have on the bike.

When having a battle in the mountains, hills or some other rough terrain, you can just drive around your adversaries, pull out your sniper, pop em, and drive all around em again. Just makes you totally OP in those types of battles.

Downside is still that a light touch can send you and your bike flying....causing death or having to walk a minute to grab your bike again:)

I own 4. 2 for racing - Sanchez and Akuma - and 2 for cruising - Daemon and Bagger. There are few games that I enjoy with no goals. Cruising around the map aimlessly on a Bagger is pretty fun for me.

I've been driving a fully modded Sanchez since the first day it snowed this year. I was the only thing with good speed that I could keep on the road. Now I just love it. Its very fast and the agility really does outweigh the vulnerability. I haven't met a car yet that could hang with me. Pulling up the front tire and jumping railing allows you you make a quick escape in almost any situation.

And I feel like a bad ass pulling up on someone with with a sawed off on it.

I find them easier to handle than cars, also good for when I go the "direct route" up the mountains and love riding through Blaine County off-road.

I do come of it when you hit something, annoying at times, but just get back on.

I now have GTA for the PS4, playing the single player and I can ride the bike FPV, but not 4 wheel vehicle or plane. Good thing is now when I get in a car its auto set for my third person and getting on a bike it's FPV.

I don't own any 4 wheel vehicles, just bikes (6 I think).

Wtf alm those hate on motorbikes ?(or atleast the fact people dont see why one woud use them...wich is also quite stunning i find)

The fastest bikes are the fastest land vehicles ingame when driven by the propper driver

And they are offroad monsters and they are goddamn cheap for being all that

Any player that dodges enemy players rather then fight them and can avoid crashing just needs one of them

Edit: also with the right wheelie and enough speed my bati 801 can climb over obstacles even my dubsta 6x6 or canis bodhi can not take like those road blocks that split the highways

OP sounds like he got molested by a motorcycle as a child.

You may be right and I blocked out the memory, because in single player nothing made me happier than totalling every broker I came across without missing a beat getting to my own destination. *shrug* I don't know why.

Free aim and you won't get capped every time you cruise down the street FTW

They're fast, small and super agile. It's easier to get around if you know how to handle one. I started out on a Western Daemon which is just slightly faster than the Bagger. I drove that around for a while, and then moved up to the Akuma which is one of the fastest bikes in game. It's hard to catch an Akuma, even in a helicopter. If you don't want to get shot, go in passive.

Assuming OP is actually asking, feeling safe and being protected are not concerns of mine while playing GTA. Max performance is the concern, so try and catch me zentornio. You wont. The only real danger on a bike is not using both thumbsticks while turning

I resent being labelled a hipster because of my love of two wheeled vehicles, I'm a biker for real so why not have some bikes in a game if they are there its personal preference, Also good luck winning a motorbike race against me I rarely lose them.
