Vagos Not Taking Over Aztecas Hoods?

Hello everyone, this is my first topic I made even though I joined about 6 months ago, sorry if this belongs in help & support or gameplay if so, move it there . Anyways to the topic, I left Los Santos in the storyline and then I realized that the Vagos still have 13 hoods and I still see Aztecas hanging out in El Corona after I did "King In Exile". Again I still saw them there and I'm about to leave Las Venturas. So I was wondering, does anyone else have the same thing? Is it because of the version I'm playing on? Is it because my disc is badly scratch up?

 

Also I'm playing on PS2 NTSC V1 (Before "Hot Coffee" was patched).

I'm starting to think it is natural but I look into the script and it they are supposed to lose density. I didn't have this situation in V2.

 

EDIT: I also downloaded some fresh non-modded V1 saves on PC and Vagos did have those hoods and saw no Aztecas.

You did not listen to the radio, especially WCTR, back when Carl was dumped in the country. When you were taken by Tenpenny the Grove Street Gang was Broken. Sweet was sent to jail. All the gang were either dead, in prison, or on the run. There is no GSF after that. ALL the turfs were reclaimed by the various gangs. Everything returned to Normal, as before Carl came home.

 

Grove Street LOST all control and influence in Los Santos.

When Carl is ready he and Cesar will return to home after taking Madd Doggs mansion.

You will have another chance to take back turf soon. In fact you must take back at least 35% to finish the game, when it is time...

No I know about Grove losing turfs they lost them but I'm talking about Aztecas, they didn't lose their hoods and did not become Vagos on my save and I'm just curious if it happen to anyone else on V1 because it doesn't happen in V2.

For me the same. For me both spawn sometimes.

Aztecas spawn in El Corona for me. They spawned in the beginning of the game, after the story, AND after 100%, too. Furthermore, Vagos/Ballas don't exist in Los Santos anymore, since I got 100% Gang Territory taken over. But yeah, Aztecas are always there, no matter what I believe. They just talk sh*t to CJ and sometimes run at him. They only shoot if you shoot AT them or at something else, close by them.

 

I am playing original PS2 version of the game, version 1, as well...

 

The funny part is a Vagos Territory will appear at the boat school after you complete "Saint Marks Bistro." It happens on the PS2 Version and it's bloody hard to get a group of 3 Vagos to spawn there...

SPOILER. I'm on my tablet.

When I did "King In Exile" Cesar is at the trailer with Kendl, he said the Aztecas are wiped out, all dead or hiding and then later in the storyline you can see a shade of yellow in Aztecas default Territory's, but in my save on V1 that didn't happen for me. On V2, that does happen for me. I was wondering if it was a error in the script or is it my disc? Likely the first one and then they fixed it in V2.

For me after Home Coming the Aztecas area was Yellow, i took it all over, but after Los Desperados it dissapeared...

Exactly, that what the script programs it to do. I know if Ballas have any density in there they won't lose it.

 

Anyways that being said, it seems like the Vagos not taking it over seems to be normal in V1 script, so yeah I guess this can be locked.

I heard that once that phone call from Catalina to CJ to do Gone Courting is ended, THEN the Vagos take over El Corona and Little Mexico.

They are suppose to take over El Corona during the Badlands strand, iirc, but it's possible to miss a call, or do a mission in a different order, or something that skips the codes that make the change. I'm pretty sure it works the same on all versions. My best guess is it has something to do with saving and loading at Calatinas and going straight to the missions before something kicks in.

 

I swear I saw this described accurately in the forums about the same time Parachute Damage and the FI Firetrucks methods were learned - most likely AlSar, roggan, or 4temp2008 from the GTA.ru community, but now I can't find it.

That's exactly what the first thing that came to me. I was doing a lot of testings though.

 

EDIT: I have a lot of time to test, but I'm too lazy to enter replay mission.

This question can be answered by a thorough search of the forums and a quick check for confirmation. I suggest starting with the names listed above. These players have posted infrequently - they visit when needed.

I started to test by replaying the mission but nothing happened yet and I didn't skip the phone call, so I'm going to continue and see if anything happens

Here's the call that determines the Vagos occupancy in El Corona:

 

CJ: "Hey, what's happening?"

Catalina: "Why you so cheery? You thought I was one of your cheap whores?"

CJ: "Baby, you gotta chill the f*ck out and-"

Catalina: "I chill out when you get here. You better hope I don't make testicle kebabs when you arrive."

CJ: "Look, this ain't no-"

Catalina: "No more talk! Get your ass up here, now!"

 

This phone call is available when the "Made in heaven" cut scene is available, just don't activate the cut scene before you get the call.

Well I guess I can take some time off of mine starter save to test. Because I replayed the mission King in Exile and nothing happened so as soon as I get about 10% done in my save I'll start to test.
