There is already a reliable method that I can vouch for on xb1...op I I suspect you're trying the same method?

 

Mine works solo though so maybe it's better than your way?

 

I shared it with several forumites and they will no doubt confirm below that it works also.

We are scheduled to try the glitch tonight. However, right now the Rockstar Cloud Servers are not operational so this may have to be postponed until tomorrow or Monday. If it works then you will see pictures and/or videos in North Yankton with the Race Car Jester (to prove that it's after the Festive Surprise DLC) and a picture of the current version of GTA Online (1.22 or whatever) by tomorrow morning or very late this evening. But, if it doesn't work, I will post the theory that I tried. The theory will make sense to you so you will understand that I was actually confident and I wasn't trying to trick anyone. I will also delete this thread if it goes nowhere and it fails miserably. I'm sorry in advance if my theoretical glitch doesn't work, but I am very optimistic that it will. Thanks for sticking with this thread and check back soon for more information!

The Rockstar servers are now back up. I am trying it tonight at either 9:30 or 9:45 with KRAZYHandz08 or Blk1995ta respectively. Please check back here tomorrow for another update or leave the topic

I've already answered this more than once. Spreading the glitch right now would lead to Rockstar patching it in less than a week. The money glitches that were prevalent in November were patched within hours of creation. This glitch would be patched very quickly. The reason I would like to keep it quiet for now is because I would like to film a Machinima in North Yankton, and have enough time to do so. I've found the glitch, created the method, and will test the glitch, and you call me selfish because I want to get my personal enjoyment of my glitch before I tell you about it, subsequently urging Rockstar to patch it? Excuse me, but you seem like the greedy one.

Well they failed miserably in that case.

 

I just hope that when we do get it, the snow is relative. It would seem rather silly to drive from a sunny LS to a snow-covered NY.

 

 

Most likely R* would have it so a separate instance of NY that is connected to an existing LS/Blaine County Session (via Matchmaking) will be loaded to get around any Network Issues.You can then just got to the Airport and Travel there with Matchmaking ensuring people in your previous instance of LS/Blaine County could follow you...

 

More or less how doing Jobs in an Invite Only Session works.

Don't yell anyone. Not sure why they would patch a harmless trip unless they plan on releasing it as as proper map.

It's already there - even last gen can handle it (albeit deserted), so I think official access to NY is inevitable .

 

R* do not want us to have fun.

 

They already have Vertical/Horizontal Limits that turn you around or Destroy your Vehicles (planes going past Horizontal Limits for example). Instead of completing all the NY Map and making it solid, they can just put these "Invisible" boundaries in place and let us explore NY (for the Snow and Snow covered Vehicles and to actually see what is there) within the remaining confines.

It's for TWO parts of Story Mode and nothing more, it's never going to be a full map because it's in incomplete...AND for the best reason, IT'S TOO SMALL

I'm not going to blindly beleive this will be possible. But neither am I against making it into North Yankton, pouring gas on Brad's corpse, and setting it on fire. Pics and video would happen.

Hey OP ignore the haters. The best glitches are kept for yourself. I can blow vehicles up by dropping snacks on them. And I can solo launch my PV, or kill myself if the launch backfires, with the Vinewood Radio Tower gates. Or have the gate break off randomly and drive my car with it stuck in. Bet they'd be patched if R* got wind of them, but I can't record.
