I think I found a way to get to North Yankton for all 4 consoles in GTA Online, but, I need help testing it out. I'm on the Xbox One and it will require about 30-45 minutes to test. Post your GT below if you're interested.

 

***ORIGINAL POST UPDATE***

We are scheduled to try the glitch tonight. However, right now the Rockstar Cloud Servers are not operational so this may have to be postponed until tomorrow or Monday. If it works then you will see pictures and/or videos in North Yankton with the Race Car Jester (to prove that it's after the Festive Surprise DLC) and a picture of the current version of GTA Online (1.22 or whatever) by tomorrow morning or very late this evening. But, if it doesn't work, I will post the theory that I tried. The theory will make sense to you so you will understand that I was actually confident and I wasn't trying to trick anyone. I will also delete this thread if it goes nowhere and it fails miserably. I'm sorry in advance if my theoretical glitch doesn't work, but I am very optimistic that it will. Thanks for sticking with this thread and check back soon for more information!

Thanks guys! I'll be sending you guys a message and a friend request soon! My GT is McLovinIt927 so be on the lookout for it. The glitch would absolutely not be harmful to anyone, not even myself. Basically ll you have to do is just wait a little bit, then invite me to your invite Only Session (no, this is not the method where you play the Prologue or Bury the Hatchet). Now, this will sound very suspicious, but hear me out. I can tell you if the glitch works, but, I can't tell you how I did it (if it works). The reason behind this is that I need to film a Machinima in North Yankton. This may be our only and last chance to film a North Yankton video on console, so I really need to jump in this opportunity before it's announced, causing Rockstar to patch it in the next few weeks or even days. I hope you can stick with me on this one.

Don't yell anyone. Not sure why they would patch a harmless trip unless they plan on releasing it as as proper map.

It's already there - even last gen can handle it (albeit deserted), so I think official access to NY is inevitable . Edited by OurJud

They already hot patched the old version of this glitch. they will patch this one too so I understand getting your enjoyment out of this glitch before releasing it. The people crying above should chill out and thank you for finding this glitch (if it works) and wait for its release. I personally would wait for a few weeks after pc release at least and right after a title update.

R* do not want us to have fun.

 

They already have Vertical/Horizontal Limits that turn you around or Destroy your Vehicles (planes going past Horizontal Limits for example). Instead of completing all the NY Map and making it solid, they can just put these "Invisible" boundaries in place and let us explore NY (for the Snow and Snow covered Vehicles and to actually see what is there) within the remaining confines.

Since R doesn't read these forums I think the method, as fake as it may be, is safe.

They actually do read these forums. Many of the verified races, crews, and snapmatic photos have been recognized as a direct result of this forum.

 

That being said, I believe the OP is full of sh*t.
