My created races are...

Most of them are around 50%, few are in the 63% area and one is 100% so far. And guess what people, the races with maximum satisfaction are just two long straights and one turn. My races in LS are based on Midnight Club Los Angeles tracks (the 100% is based on Old Route 66), and the ones outside the city are based on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit.

They have lots of high speed turns, technical turns, and most of all they take place on roads. No stupid checkpoint placement or ramps and props in general, Yet those bicycle races with impossible jumps and stupid 10000000000$ races with loops and shizzle are 90%

What kind of percentage your races have? Or races u've seen.

Oh I'm on PS3 btw.

People don't understand that thumbs up/down rates the track, not the race.

mainly this, people tend to upvote when they win... alot of people purposefully downvote everything cos their trolling ratings and up or down votes snag you that 50rp bonus...

 

but its best not to really care... my best rated tracks are NOT my most played and the most played are NEVER best rated... its jsut a number game and if you wana try and narrow your percentages you just need more plays... 1 down vote on a track with 5 plays is a 20% reduction in rating..

 

100 down votes on a track thats been played/voted 10'000 times is 1%, its jsut a maths game

 

oh and with the ability to setup multiple accounts on ps consoles, or on current gen xbox consoles.. poeple can easily create new accoutns to uypvote their own sh*tty creations...

most of the time people vote tumbs down when either they lost, or someone bumped them off the road. which isn't the creators fault, but it's gta. percentage isn't important.

 

or maybe your races aren't finished, like the title of this.

You have to come in last for a couple races, then you can legit race...people are less likely to join a race after they see that it's less than 40-50%, they'll think its a troll/dumbsh*t track and leave

I know it's just numbers, but lower percentage usually scares people off from the race.

Thats not my experience.

 

Turns, Vehicle class other than Supers, and good settings (catch up off) scare people off from races. At least for random racers.

The thing I dislike about many R* created and verified races is that they're boring. I like to race solo, so tracks have to hold one's interest. The map is interesting enough to make interesting races. Not just square laps round a couple of buildings in downtown LS. Yet these seem to be most popular when I join random races.

 

I don't really understand popularity. Why does OBSTACLE WHAT? keep coming up? It's terrible.

 

There are many reasons for downvoting. Did the host make it rain and put wanted levels on to piss people off? These things are out of the control of the designer.

 

I think some of my races have got 70-80% but I've never really checked. I know one of my DMs is on 55% but it was for sniping on PS3 and I think the distances were beyond the draw distance. It should work better on the PS4 but I can never be bothered to promote or publicise anything.

Its just a rough sort of indication. 70% is alright. 80% is very good. 90% is excellent. But I would say you need at least 80 ratings to really see how people are perceiving it.

 

A small number of votes mean nothing. Sometimes I even see people like a race, replay it, and then dislike it.

It's not always the quality of the track. Yes, i can appreciate the MCLA remakes, but 99% of the people won't. You just need to do something different, like JJJ because, there are too many generic races. Take for example the 90%+ approval on Rooftops (scubadave verified):

I put a lot of unique things in there, you could roll in tanks to clear out the gangs, you could destory the documents and just skip the travel time, you could launch grenades in there for six second completions, etc. Put some decent RP and $$$ and something different and you'll see your % rating go up. Now, I'm not saying you're going to get 90% but just keep at it.
