jeanrjm
Native apps crashed a lot. Then Explorer started crashing the whole system... and then after several forced reboots it just stopped working. Before i had 8.1 now i have nothing. Try refreshing the installation. Or installing it again. Or even rolling back to Windows 8.1, which is an option on the freaking settings menu.I would but it doesn't even boot. Not even the system recovery menu. Only the BIOS works. And i don't have the ISO. Edited July 30, 2015 by jeanrjm

I'm sure they will push an update soon based on user's experience. Very annoying though to have everything working great then once integrating Cortana (which I really like) having problems with memory allocation and management. At any rate, upgrading my RAM from 6GB to 16GB probably won't be a bad thing. Edited July 30, 2015 by gizmo $$H New York Crew

Yes, I know, but most of the people complaining in this thread seem to be only talking and talking, not actually putting an effort on searching for solutions. I'm using Windows 10 at work and, hell, it's smooth as hell. Yesterday I played some good 2 hours of Forza Horizon 2, over WiFi, and it was smooth. I'm loving this. The user friendliness is top-notch though. Really easy to navigate and understand. Microsoft is really going for that "i-dont-understand-technology-but-really-want-to-use-it" market from my perspective. A lot of what they have done is for ease of use and they made it look really, really nice. Anyways, back to Edge. If they incorporate extensions like Chrome and Firefox on top of what they have, add users like Chrome has, then I think I'd prefer to use Edge. I'm sticking with Chrome because of users and extensions for now. Edited July 30, 2015 by gizmo Vik 1 $$H New York Crew

A lot of what they have done is for ease of use and they made it look really, really nice. That took a lonnnnnnnnng time, and probably wasn't even considered up until Windows 8, mostly because the advent of what I call "Playskool" GUI's didn't pop up until the iPhone came to fruition, which led to the Windows Metro layout. But I welcome it, as long as I still have access to certain settings that aren't necessarily accessible to your average user.

Flachbau
Spartan seems like such a "cooler" name, imo at least. Anyways, the browser is pretty cool. Although I'm disappointed that there aren't any add-ons for it (duh), I'm sure it'll get even better once they start becoming available. Also, do you guys have some tips/tricks for Windows 10? I feel like I explored pretty much everything already, but I'm wondering if anyone found something cool/interesting to share.
Ai®a©ob®a
So a lot of people have been reporting problems with installing Windows 10 on PC that have Intel CPU and a difference GPU. When installing Windows 10 it will install to about 30% when it does the restart the screen just goes black and there is no fix for that issue except doing a Factory Reset which is also what i've had to do. People have said to avoid this is to disconnect the Intel and activie Navidia and it should work fine. 018361

The virtual desktop thing is useful though, it makes multi tasking much easier on a single monitor. Sucks that I'll have to nuke and pave though... Not like I wasn't going to do it anyway since I need to transfer my 8.1 code to 10 but still... Edited July 31, 2015 by TheMcSame
018361
I'm trying this: http://www.redmondpie.com/force-download-windows-10-free-upgrade-right-now-heres-how-tutorial/ To get the upgrade. I have it downloading now so here's to hoping it won't freeze up at 25% for the fifth time. Edit: Never mind. Even this method failed. 2nd Edit: Turns out if you have the stuck at 25% issue like me you can resolve it by disconnecting your disk drives SATA connector and plugging it back in after the upgrade. It worked for me. http://www.reddit.com/r/windows/comments/3f3ja9/windows_10_stuck_on_25_total_and_copying_files_84/ctm6y6m Edited July 31, 2015 by 018361

Ai®a©ob®a
Okay i finally got Windows 10 installed on my PC. For those of you who have an Intel Graphics Card & Navdia Graphics Card make sure you disconnect the Intel Graphics Card prior to updating otherwise you'll run into black screen issue and it will screw up your computer. If you disconnect the Intel Graphic Card prior to updating and active the Navdia graphics card you'll have no issues. X S
I know people said you could revert back to an older Windows, so I'm guessing this is what this new partition is on my HDD. There's a new partition with 347MB on it. Does anyone else have this? I wanna get rid of it because I already made a clone of the original Win 7 boot partition, but I just wanna make sure before I change anything that this new partition is a backup of the old OS. It's probably a 'recovery' Partition with the smaller partition being the EFI System Partition. Not sure if anything happens if you get rid of them but considering they take up such little space you may as well leave them along tbh. As Parik said, the old OS files are in windows.old and it's perfectly fine to delete that.
