GTA3Rockstar
I see it. There should be a setting to change how transparent it is. Still wanna change the white. http://www.isunshare.com/windows-10/change-the-color-of-taskbar-and-window-border-in-windows-10.html I can't find the Color and Appearance options. Anyone? Nvm, that article is from December. lol Maybe this one. http://www.windowscentral.com/replace-those-white-title-bars-windows-10-colors-theme Yea, that works. It's not very customizable but still works. Vik
With today being the day Windows 10 has released, what are your thoughts on it?Did you like it?Did you hate it? Here is a copy and paste of what I wrote in the Facade Corporation Topic: Holy foosballs Win 10 is awesome It can even say my name Got increased performance with my games too, people in the PC section are even reporting improvements If you are still hesitant, just upgrade,it is well worth it,edge is somewhat close to par with chrome and Cortana is like and improved Siri/Google Voice Just defrag if you have an HDD,as it may seem slow at first. 95/100 This my first post with Win 10 on the forums, slight improvement in speed when I browse on Chrome! Overall Windows 10 has been a solid addition, may even be my favorite windows NO MORE F*CKING WINDOWS 8.1 ..OH YEAHHHHHH!F*CK 8.1! Gouveia
Just installed it on a computer here at the office. It's a sh*tty PC (1.8Ghz Dual Core + 2GB RAM), but hell, is it good. I mean, not as smooth, but runs like butter when compared to Windows 8 and even 7.

018361
I've updated my laptop, but each time I try to update my gaming rig it freezes at 25%. I waited for three hours and nothing. So I tried it again and same thing happened. Am I just impatient?
Flachbau
It usually takes long if you have larger files or just a lot of files in general. I uninstalled Steam and all of my games over the weekend, so I didn't have many issues. At least, I think that's what the issue is. Good luck though Just installed it on a computer here at the office. It's a sh*tty PC (1.8Ghz Dual Core + 2GB RAM), but hell, is it good. I mean, not as smooth, but runs like butter when compared to Windows 8 and even 7.Awesome! I have a similar system. I run a C2D E6300 @ 1.86GHz with 4GB DDR2. Running beautifully so far. TJGM
Somewhat concerning. Especially Windows Defender and the Telemetry stuff. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3f218f/windows_10_thread_confirmed_malware_edition/
Lilіth
@Above: I read through the post, and one of the top comments lists a way to disable the Telemetry stuff. Frankly enough, said Services aren't even running on my end. Installed it earlier today, moving from Win7 Ultimate. Took a bit since I decided against a complete reinstall, but it runs well, and the Metro screen I dreaded on 8 is gone. The tiles on the Menu aren't really bothering me, since you can just remove them all at will. I do kind of miss Aero though. M.K.N.
Apparently, I may be the only person who did not receive an update regarding Windows 10 update today. Seems Windows 10 is only given to select people and not everybody. Such a shame, honestly.

Smesi
Turns out if you have currently own Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you're eligible to get a free upgrade to Windows 10 within its' first year on the market. http://www.pcgamer.com/windows-10-upgrade-free-for-owners-of-windows-7-and-81/ I found this to be uncharacteristically generous of Microsoft, but I'm not going to complain. Think there's going to be a catch? I have Windows 8 in my computer but for some reason i cant upgrade to 8.1,So I guessiing i cant download 10? It's completely legal to do so, but I'd rather not say where I obtained mine. Edited July 30, 2015 by X S

Gouveia
I had to reccur to that, too. Also, that was a few pages back. Now sit back, install that thing, and see how much better it is to be on the "Good Windows" side of the cycle. EDIT: my face when Windows auto-activated when I got home. thehambone
Alright guys, I'm a bit confused. Excuse me for sounding like a noob lol. I intend to install Windows 10 on my laptop for a few days to see if I like it or not (I currently use Windows 7). I reserved a copy about a month ago, but haven't yet received the notification to upgrade. So I got a little antsy and downloaded the ISO from Microsoft's website (because I prefer to do clean installs), made a backup image of my hard drive, and wiped the hard drive. As I'm going to install, it occurred to me that I don't yet have a product key! Now, this isn't an issue yet because I can skip entering the key for now, but I'm wondering how I'll get the product key. Will I get an email containing the key? Or did I "lose" my reservation by wiping my PC? Thanks guys! Disregard; I've figured it all out. Chloroform
I wanna put my foot thru my tablet. Getting windows 10 on it was a bitch, going back to 8 because the screen is acting backwards. Vik
I love 10,its been a solid addition. Weird question but I noticed a dip in sound quality, not as loud as it used to be before w/o speakers. Is there some setting I need to change?
Red Hat
Tried downloading the latest drivers? I've got Windows 10 running on a Celeron CPU @ 2.00GHz, 2 GB RAM. Runs really smooth compared to Windows 7 and 8.1! Overall a great upgrade... only if there was an option to disable automatic updates.

Especially Windows Defender and the Telemetry stuff. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3f218f/windows_10_thread_confirmed_malware_edition/ Been binned, likely because it was utter dross. Microsoft's threat research team harvest telemetry from Defender installs and has for years, as well as from their various other security products. All AV vendors do, it's the only way they can identify new threats. gizmo
Yesterday was fine for me and Windows 10 Today my resources are acting up. I use a few different Chrome browsers with a decent amount of tabs and extensions in each and it's causing problems with resource allocation. Never happened in Windows 8.1 and only now is this becoming an issue in Windows 10 Not sure what to do here since this is affecting my work productivity. $$H New York Crew

X S
I had one freeze last night and had to reset. My PC totally locked up on me, screen and everything. gizmo
I loved it when it was working fine. What I mean by acting up is that Chrome is a memory hog, and I run three Chrome browsers with about 6-10 tabs in each and 5-8 extensions in each to work. I kept getting this: Then some tabs would die and extensions would die too. It became very annoying and frustrating and I've lost most of the morning already. I went through and killed any apps I don't need to work and am getting by, but things are a bit sluggish. This is very odd because this only began after integrating Cortana. Before I activated Cortana I didn't have any issues. So, I ordered two 8GB sticks of RAM because I'm not going back to Windows 8.1 and am not going to lose more productive days of work. $$H New York Crew

Before i had 8.1 now i have nothing. Try refreshing the installation. Or installing it again. Or even rolling back to Windows 8.1, which is an option on the freaking settings menu.
