What was your experience like when first going into GTAO back in 2013?

E•MO•TION

I remember spending well over an hour in the character creator before I had one of those "f*ck this sh*t" moments and hit random a few hundred times until I had a half decent character (rip in peace).

Ah the same song on soulwax everytime i had to repeat the tutorial. Somehow getting a world record and losing my character at level nine within a day or two. Difficult times indeed, calmer times to much less random needless killing.

the early day were filled with much promise. I thought heists were in it somewhere ! (how wrong was i?!. Simieon was a good friend who gave us some easy cash and no update cars at all! Then beach bum was free and ignited interest once more. It is almost a different game these days, with the calmness nearly all gone bar for paleto bay and chrome everywhere! Current gen improvements to just make the game deal a lot better though

everyone seemed nicer, with all the modders handing out millions of GTA dollars

back then, Freeroam felt like it was more about spending money and being creative in whatever it is you're doing.

PvP back then seemed fun because almost everyone i ran into would kill each other in the most over-the-top fashion. none of this "peek-a-boo/auto-shotty" BS

I didn't have any day one connection issues. I was really impressed and felt overwhelmed by the different game mechanics compared to SP (which I played through between sept 17 and oct 1 2013.

I distinctly remember my first really challenging contact mission on my 2nd day. My RL friend invited me to a session with his crew. They were farming Base Invaders, we spawned in and they already had supercars and good weapons (this was oct 2 2013)

We farmed that mission for hours (at 25k a pop) I learned a lot and earned my first million that day.

Right after I got my fisrt PC I drove it up the construction site in Seoul then I flipped it over.

Not knowing that you cant flip cars back onto their feet I got out, I didn't get any message saying my PC was destroyed to I assumed it was gone.

Then a few minutes later some random play got mugged for around 10,000, and I ended up killing the mugger and got teh xXca$hXx.

I was so happy.

I was a late starter.

Had played though SP, but had home broadband issues for ages.

About a year after all the day one guys had started, I walked into a crazy world of sticky bomb launching adders and zent's.

I very quickly realised that id die alot, with little choice in the matter, if I didn't grind out some cash, and arm myself.

Luckily, 90% of the currently available DLC had been released, so I went straight for the special weapons.

Now, I fear nobody, but I'm fully prepared to deal with most situations.

I do think back to my early days, this is mainly why I help out low levellers.

i want to unlock the sniper so i need to level up...dont know how to do missions and so im doing stuff only in freeroam

i also have the problem of getting killed by everyone i come across and i have a pistol

also i notice i cant seem to earn money because of dying at all

so after a few days playing i left the game and then returned months later after januari, when i was able to keep all money by banking and i relized you coud do missions, race and all that sh*t and before i knew, i actualy had the sniper

with that, i killed players, but once i was level 30, i started racing

then i kinda was a fail in it, so i decided to do missions and do research

i ended up grinding coveted now and then untill i reached rank 120 and was able to dominate sessions for months simply because of having better health and better weapons and noboddy else realy having them generaly :p

ah, i realy had great times with this game looking back on it,.......

exept of course my try-out days...hell....what were they even thinking with their hospital taxes like that ?
