GTA SA is the kind of game that'll always win the majority!!!

TBH I really didn't like San Andreas that much, which is why it's my new 'Least Favourite' in lieu of the 2D Era games or Advance, which the first I have never played and the latter is absent.

 

But none of the games in the series are bad (except advance), not even close. The lowest I'd rate a game in the series is 6 or 6.5.

IMO San Andreas is overrated. It is a good game, but people treat it as if it is divine artefact created by the gods. VC and IV, both have better stories and characters.

Seriously now, I'd have to say my favorite is Chinatown Wars. Weird choice, I now. As for least favorite, it's either Online (for complete absence of a story and the long lobby waits) or Liberty City Stories (easily the worst story in the series). It's truly a testament to the quality of the franchise when my least/second-least favorite game is actually fantastic.

 

But seriously, put Advance on the list 'cause that game's awesome.

I absolutely love GTA IV. The atmosphere, cold and dark Liberty City, story line, characters, car handling, ragdoll, radio stations and soundtrack. That's what makes IV my favorite one.
And you might not understand me, but probably the least liked GTA is V for me. Yes, it is overrated and the story line is meh. Characters are not interesting. The only positive thing is gameplay and GTA Online, even though I remember laughing tears while playing IV's multiplayer with my friends. Doesn't happen in GTA Online, unfortunately.

Ranking the main games:

Storyline - I equally like the stories of IV and V, however I can appreciate how in the 2D games there's more of a "background" than "story/plot."

Characters - Again, I'd say it's a toss-up between IV and V. Though the mission bosses and especially the radio station hosts in 2 can be really funny.

Activities - GTA V followed by 2 and IV.

Soundtrack - GTA 2 by far.

Atmosphere (Setting) - GTA 2 followed by IV followed by V.

Overall - GTA 2/V, though 2 was my first one and therefore holds a place in my heart. If V had a six-star system instead of five, I'd enjoy it even more.

I don't have a least favourite GTA, Advance comes the closest to this for me.

And here's my explanation why:VC was the first game i ever played and I liked it from the first moment,the soundtrack is the best,characters are unique and the storyline is twisted.

For GTA IV - well it has nicer graphics than VC,but it didn't touch my heart 'cause I had a slow working PC at home costing low.Whatever,I didn't like the storyline and music at all.

SA will always be the best. Always. Their newer games might be more ambitious as technology gets better, but nothing will capture the magic like San Andreas did.

My least favourite was V. I hated it.

Favourite: The Lost and Damned (motorcycle culture is something of a taboo theme in games, Rockstar has been the only decent developer to really take that leap).

Least favourite: Vice City (great gameplay, just didn't care for the 80s Miami theme which is kinda the point of the game).
