Surprised that so many people hate gta5. Guess it's because of gta Online. I might have seen a more accurate result if the poll had gta5 and gta online as individual entries.

My favorite is gta 4, vice city stories and the lost and damned, the fourth would be san andreas and the fifth vice city, I feel that the vice city stories is very underrated, that game seemed like a jewel, the one I liked the least It was The Ballad of Gay Tony, the story did not convince me much and I only felt like doing shootings and now, it's not bad, but compared to others it is but for me

The truth is I did not have much enthusiasm when I played vice city stories, but when I started I could not stop and it was the first gta in which I completed 100%, it has the best story of the 3d era, the best graphics too (of the 3d era obviously ) the best combat system, the most human protagonist, although vic's defect is that he is manipulable and that causes him a lot of problems, the car handling feels realistic, f*ck the imperial mode is the best and many more secondary activities, new vehicles like jet sky, hovercraft and many more, it is just beautiful

My Favorite: GTA 4, the best storyline, the best physics, good musics on the radio (not the best, still loses to San Andreas and Vice City), and the best theme song.
My least favorite: Chinatown Wars, the storyline is kinda cool, and it's awesome for a originally DS game, but the controls are sh*tty as hell, doesn't have a PC version, so I played on a PSP emulator, and they cutted Alderney, the best part of GTA 4 map.

Update:

I am back to 3d universe gta games because they are good gameplay and graphics wise with the help of mods.

GTA IV driving physics feel boaty, I can't play this game without car god mode but I can comfortably play the 3d gtas like butter.

Anyways GTA San Andreas my most fav and GTA Advance my least fave but not really. Love all GTA games man.

I do mostly miss GTA V though.

It is the best game story wise and lots of other details that GTA V lacks but the 3d GTAs have some of it.

Gameplay wise GTA SA and GTA V are kings. Also RDR 2.

My least favorites were the 2d games & advance. My favorites were San Andreas, V, IV, Balled of gay tony, III and vice city.

I've never played the stories ones as I don't own any of the PlayStation consoles.

I feel like any GTA can become my most favourite as soon as I start playing it again. But the one I always look forward to play again is CTW, especially thanks to the drug dealing feature. I also love SA and VCS, and GTA2. 

My least favourite GTA would most likely be the first one because I found it really hard on higher levels (it's sometimes impossible to find crates with weapons). I also hate how cars can explode without warning, how low the health is (you can only survive three shots, and only with armor) and how easy it is to get busted.

To JaeDan 101: 2D era GTAs aren't bad, but everyone can have an opinion. The top-down camera isn't easy to get used to, and when the screen starts shaking like crazy, it gets even worse.

GTA IV/EFLC will always hold a special place in my heart no matter what. However, GTA III is my new favorite because not only is it perfectly written but it also has a sane fanbase unlike IV/EFLC, SA, and V. CTW is my new second favorite because of its calm and chill fanbase and it’s also perfectly written. IV/EFLC also has a perfect storyline but it sure as heck doesn’t have a perfect fanbase.

Replaying GTA Vice City has been a pretty disappointing experience. The game has not aged well and is full of annoying little glitches. The map feels astonishingly small as well. It used to be my favorite GTA, now I'm disillusioned.

I love all GTA's,yes even GTA Advance,for my favorites of the favorites i'd say:

Least:None of them actually,as i  mentioned i do like GTA Advance,one should i pick is GTA Online because y'know it's really annoying with p2p system,loading times etc,but i'd be a hypocrite because i spent behamoth of time in Online

 

I'd never backlash any GTA games because of their storyline arc and writing because even though there are better examples in the Series,they're still superior to most games in gaming market which's known for terrible writing/B-C list Hollywood  level storyline.

If I'm not mistaken GTAA was added to the poll much later than it was created so if it was added at the start it would probably be leading quite comfortably as most people vote for it because it's an easy vote and/or they haven't played it. Look at the favourite section of the poll. GTAA has barely any votes and GTA V's sitting 4th. That doesn't suggest that GTA V's considered "worse".

 

Also "least favourite" holds a completely different weight of water compared to "worst". However that's not what's being asked.

 

Unless someone loves every single game equally and doesn't have any bias then everyone is naturally going to have a "favourite" and "least favourite". There are other factors to consider to that not everyone has played every GTA game so they could just be voting on the basis of what they've played. It's an extremely subjective thing as it's impossible to quantify favourtism. People need to understand the context of what's being asked though and it's honestly getting tiring coming into these threads where someone's bound to be complaining about GTA V getting the short end of the stick in some capacity. It's like opinions don't seem to matter to these people *sigh*.

As i said in previous posts,i respect everyone's opinions about GTA V. I don't respect however,people who litteraly threaten others for liking GTA V and boy,they are a loud majority. Also calling it a bad game is just too much. Call me a kid,a GTA V fanboy but that's my opinion.

I think it's a little unfair to say it's a "majority". The majority of people don't even say it's a bad game let alone actually threaten others who do like it. I was just expressing opinion also, but it honestly does get tiring hearing the same "oh man why must everyone pick on GTA V?" doom and gloom over and over again. 

 

And in no way am I condoning members being abused/threatened for their video game preferences, but I think claiming it's a "majority" is stretching it way too far.
