Classic Coquette vs Monroe

I currently own both, and personally, ever since I first got the Monroe in December 2013, it has become a car I love. I always enjoy driving it and it's a car I will probably never sell.

They are both competitive in racing and it mostly comes down to the driver and which one you prefer. The Coquette has better acceleration and is slidey, but if you can control it then it will work. Same goes with the Monroe but its a bit easier to control

I love almost all classic cars im this game R* have really done a good job but personally i would never buy the coquette classic, its so damn ugly at the front and just doesn't look right. The back is pretty gorgeous though on both models and it sounds nice though wrong. It's a typical American muscle car, just keep it on a long straight road and you'll enjoy it. Personally i have the Monroe and i do love the thing. Its so nice to drive, balanced, fast and a handful given it is a classic lambo! How could you say no? It is also not as overpriced as the coquette which is always bonus.

I tried both of then in SP but still can't decide, what I really prefer about the Monroe though is the sound

go with your instinct. Just don't do what i did in the early days and put a turbo on it and you'll love her forever!

Im looking forward to getting one of the above mentioned cars, since I'm not mad rich and I don't want to spend ages on missions to grind for both cars I have to choose one of them, what car would you guys recommend me? Any pros and cons?

 

I bought both the Coquette Classic Coupe & Roadster, as well as a Monroe. Problem solved for me :)

I don't do links or videos but you're completely missing something. Not everyone chooses a car because it's fastest in a straight line. There are subtle (some not-so-subtle) differences in how cars handle.

 

So get over yourself and offer an opinion. Don't just regurgitate others' findings.

 

OT: Monroe is much sexier and sounds pretty damn sweet.

it's not a straight line test...maybe comment after checking links or don't comment at all.

The monroe is alot better than the CC in alot of ways like the monroe's handling is more stable as the Coquette is too tail happy. The monroe is the more complete, all around car for racing and the engine sound of the coquette classic kills it for me, it sounds like a dying cat mixed with an old vacuum cleaner gone bad.

The choice is easy.

 

On ps3 the coquette sounds like ass, on ps4 it sounds awesome.

 

Buy a Monroe if you are on ps3/360 and the coquette if you are on ps4/one. They are both slow compared to the z type and pigalle anyway. (I have all four, I never drive the pigalle or Monroe).

Based on what ? my personal testing points to the Pigalle for technical races and the Z-Type for straights.

Get whichever one you like best. Or both. I have one of almost every sports Classic in the game. I generally prefer rockstar's take on classic designs to their attempts at modern vehicles. If I had to choose only one it would be the Monroe though.

 

Try them both in SP before buying online. The same goes for any online purchase really. The Monroe doesn't have any optional parts but the Coquette and be a hard top or open top and it has more tuning options. If you don't like the front of the Coquette you can try removing the front bumper or adding a splitter. I don't recommend a secondary colour on the Coquette though, you end up with a different coloured hood that makes it look like a beater.

 

When tuning my cars I tend to do a google image search for pictures of the real thing. It can be particularly helpful for choosing wheels and good paint combinations.

this is BS, Z-Type gets smashed by the coquette classic... Not to mention if you double clutch with the coquette it doubles the acceleration, go home you're drunk.
