Almost, nerf the Zentoro so that it restores balance to the overall class and you have a reason to pick between the Turd, Easymode, Adder and Zentoro.. plus whatever they add next.

 

I don't want a supercar showdown where everyone uses one of two cars, but where all of the top tier cars offer a benefit in one particular field so you can pick what matches your style.

 

Even if you match up the Zentoro and new car to mirror one of the existing ones, at least you have a reason to pick between them instead of fielding a race of nothing but Zentoros or whatever.

It's been revealed the Casco is in the sports classic class, not super cars. So, it's not a brand new Maserati concept, it's going to be an older car., possibly 50's or 60's era? I'd love to see a '61 Tipo Birdcage!

The Cheetah is mostly a Ferrari (Grotti = Ferrari, mostly) Enzo, which is interestingly the car the Maserati MC12 was keen to beat and did.

Funny enough the MC12 also shared allot of parts in common with the Enzo as well.

 

That said Yeah I'd love an Mc12, baring that an old Ghibli or for Lolz, the Bi Turbo, just to troll people.

Got to see the prototype of this in the flesh when I went to Italy, it's a beautiful car with a bit of a badass-ness thrown in with the sidepipes and hoodscoop.

Considering V's love of adding a hard and soft or no top version of cars, this would make sense. Plus, you're right, the hood scoop and side pipes make this a real treat on the eyes. I immediately thought Tipo because, yes it's more well known, but also the fact there's a pretty good mod for GTA IV for the Tipo Birdcage, and I think R* has been really looking at the GTA IV modding crew for ides.

Thanks for that jagged little pill . I really hope you're wrong as the cheetah is effectively an enzo and the MC12 (by broad logic) would be a butchery of that (a lampardati cheetah). In any case we can only dream as we simply won't know until things happen and I'm quite happy to live in my beautiful ignorance.

It seems almost certain to be a Sports Classic according to the leaks I'm told that the word 'Casco' means 'helmet' in various latin languages - so a classic topless Maserati sports car is the best guess...the Birdcage and the 450S seem like decent shouts!

You're crazy. I do see where you're coming from, but the peyote is definitely the T-bird derivative in the game. The Casco and Peyote are 50's inspired cars, but that's where similarity ends. Getting back to reality the casco is more reminiscent of the 3500 GT and similar Italian GT's of the age. The T-Bird, a definite trend setter and a global icon, was far more extravagant than any Italian, largely due to the US's then advance and obsession of space and speed (avionics in other words). Italy being much sharper and refined didn't over bear their cars (concepts aside) with huge fins and miles of metal, sticking to trends with a certain subtlety (they did the same chrome and fins as the US, just less of it) and grace.

 

TLDR: There is a broad similarity. Ford set the formula, Maserati improved it.
