I never experienced this until I moved to Xbox One free aim... Now everyone wants AR shootouts only. And I get owned pretty badly. I feel when people do challenge you,they're really good for some reason... But I never break the vow unless they do.

Anyway, I think that the idea being proposed is that Player 1 wants to do a 1-on-1 with a specific weapon or other constraints. If Player 2 considers himself sufficiently badass with that same weapon or constraint, he will accept that challenge and play a balanced, fair fight against Player 1.

But in fact, what always happens in GTA0 is that Player 2 will snipe Player 1 in the back, or grab an RPG, or shoot Player 1 in Ammunation, or do some other dirty trick, rather than play a fair fight.

 

Bottom line is that all the badasses on GTA0 are only badasses when then they can engineer a cheap, unfair advantage over the other player. That's the GTA0 definition of "badass."

That applies to the first player issuing the challenge as well.

Indeed, the challenger will of course choose a weapon / mode that he is good at, hoping for skills advatage. But if he sticks with his constraints, at least that is better than running to get an RPG, if the challeged player starts pwning him within his original constraints.

To those comments that were mentioned that I am better at AR Only and that's why I called him out, this is not the case. I am not a TDMer so I don't do those kind of fights on the regular. I fight on ground only when I need to, which is when I get knocked off the bike. I wouldn't say I'm extremely skilled on foot with ARs I can handle my own but TDMers take the trophy on this one. I'd say my skill is on the streetbike with AP, hands down.

 

What happened was, he used a minigun on me but didn't kill me. I then told him I'd be getting my minigun, but mine was different then his. I then swooped in on him with a jet, killing him and taking his precious bounty then messaging him asking if he liked my flying minigun. He told me to hop out the jet and "fight like a man". I replied saying that if he uses AR only, I will do the same. I only killed him once in the jet so it's not like I messed him up spawn killing him and that's why he was angry and cheap shotted me after accepting an AR 1v1. That's when the rest happened. He got his 1 or 2 kills back so I don't even mind. It is what it is.. a game, and we play for fun. I had fun regardless of the cheap shot and was reminded of my original rule to never trust any random.

 

Also, to the DumbGuy named DumbForum that was dropping 'DumbPosts' trying to be cool with backseat moderating.. I think the only guy bitching and moaning in this thread is you, bud. I'm only being honest here, not trying to diss anyone but you didn't even contribute ONCE to the topic at hand. Stop complaining how a thread is and just post what this thread was intended for or just vote and not post at all. I apologize if DumbGuy and DumbForum are two different people, I just thought it all fit together nicely lol.

 

Btw, I was not looking for other people's experience, they just posted it on their own. The point was to see how many people would Honor a set duel or not. No more, no less.

I follow a code of honor. At the same time, I'm not one to start a fight, but I will honor the fight until the other party doesn't(99% of the time.), then all arsenal is a go. I never count on a fair AR fight, I never expect one, it's kinda the only weapon I use regardless but of course this is a game where multiple weapons are given to you, therefore I have no complaints when someone uses whats given to them.

Unless you like not aiming. You can move while using the sniper in old gen by just holding the fire button, but it won't get you anywhere.

Just explained it, not meaning to double post, but with the sniper any sniper you can hold the fire button gently to aim the sniper but you won't have the scope view, pressing it down will fire it. It's not accurate at all and I recommend it for a duel.
