Is useless, unless you're on top of something. Rockstar should make it non-contact like races.

For last-gen, yes.

 

Nope, this is the one reason I won't be buying GTA V for ps4 when I get it...no passive mode trolls on ps3

I am on the 360 and I noticed when someone is in passive mode and they are getting out of it, you do not know until they have their weapon drawn and shooting at you. In the past it would flicker from passive to non passive when the countdown started and they were vulnerable or atleast the person trying to kill that passive dude would know he was about to go out of passive mode.

On the PS4/Xbox One I hear it is like a non-contact race type (got the PS4 but not yet played the game yet).
