An option to hide blue rings in free roam

I would like a new Augmented Reality app in the phone, when you turn it on you can see the coronas because they are activities that your phone locates for you, turn it off and there are no coronas. Of course an AR app in real life would only work through the phone's camera but I think this would be good enough for the game.

I have not once used those blue markers to start a job. The one in the parking lot in front of the downtown LSC is the worst. I'll drive into it in my PV, go into a job, back out, and my PV spawns a block or two away. Bollocks.

Agreed, does anyone actually drive to a certain mission to start it? Pretty sure 99% launches via the job menu. An option to show/hide them would be cool.. they can still be on the map, just not enter-able.

you shouldn't be able to move when in griefer mode

 

There should at least be a 1 hour minimum cool-down where you can't grief again.

Which implies, what we know already, that free-roam is really grief mode, and there are no alternatives for actually meeting random players for any other reason that to kill or be killed. Really deep game, GTA0.

Literally every other method for joining jobs in the game has a Confirmation option and this is when you have (for example) deliberately navigated to the appropriate location in the first place in the Start Menu or on your Phone...

 

Yet a Marker you can walk straight into (and even more easily in First Person as you can not see behind you) does not.

Better yet they die and end up inside the army base. Can't use any air craft to escape either! Every time they die they respawn inside

 

Anyway, option to hide icons would be good too

Bahaha the blue rings can be good too. Story time:

 

I was following a chopper that was headed to a secret package drop off. He was quite a bit ahead of me. He landed his chopper instead of jumping out of it, as I jumped out of mine. Just so happens when he got out of his landed chopper it put him right in a blue circle LOL. I killed 2 random AI guys and snatched the package. He was walking out of the blue circle and I killed him as he did so. Then I flew away in his chopper! Bahahaha!

It's so easy to solve too!

If you walk through them and press right on the d-pad, the mission launches. If you don't you just walk through them.

Problem solved.

Personally I'd just like them off the map.

I've accidentally walked into one when retrieving a special crate a couple of weeks ago. It was between 2 circles in the mountains.

I think a great idea for those blue rings would be "griefer hoopla" , like at the fairground when you throw the ring and win a prize.

 

I think every time a griefer kills anyone without just cause, one of those blue rings should fall down from the sky and trap that griefer until he pays a "get out of jail" fee of £10k

I want them all gone. The blue circles and the minimap icons, first time I got on GTAO I immediately decided I didn't like them and that they were completely useless.

Can't tell you how many times I've lost a death match or special crate because I ran into the stupid circle.

I think I would like them gone. Never use them to start jobs. However they do come in handy when one of those many passive clown players who follow you around, jerking, thrusting and waving, hop in your pv with you. I like to drop them off in the nearest circle. Send them off to menu screens.

 

The worst circle though is the red gang attack at Sandy Shores airfield.

that one is one of the most annoying locations. i mean wtf, its like R* is trolling us by putting it there. its a common meetup point for carmeets and events..
