Players with more race wins than losses.

My win loss is somewhere round 285 wins 688 losses, Most of these are car races. I don't do hardly any plane or boat races. I do rage quit a lot. So It might be a better record if i stuck more races out instead of leaving after a bad wreck from another player or whatever. It can just get really frustrating sometimes. I have to take breaks from racing because i'm too competitive and I just hate losses from bullsh*t.

Racing in this game really isn't all THAT bad. Yeah, it's got stupid newbie crutches in it, but overall the game did racing pretty ok.

Other than user created jobs, yes. Have you quick joined a race lately? WTF

Well.. these are the stats I ended up with. I only join random races. Never host myself. Never boosted, never farmed cash, actually never joined a race with the cash in mind..

I always check the stats of everybody in the lobby before the race starts. I declare anybody who is not in a decent race crew and with a ratio fairly below 1:1 harmless. I don't consider them a challenge. I only keep my eyes open for the people who are at least close to a 1:1 ratio. Being prepared for that is really imporant. You need to know who is going to be the problem. The better the stats, the likelier it is that the person will try to spin you out tactically / drive aggressively.

I met only one person who had a better ratio than me (his ratio is about 1:5 with more than 2.500 wins). We did a lot of races together and alternately ruined each others stats... lol. We are friends since then, but don't race against each other too often.. it becomes frustrating, since we both care about the ratio, lol. Also we are both quite the loners.

Well.................. my secret is quite simple: Race tactically and super defensive. Consider anybody a potential rammer. Use all the information Broughy1322 has given us (best cars, offroad tyres, super turbo etc.).

I also usually don't attend non-verified races (ramp "stunt" races are the worst imo), as they just can't be trusted.

I also don't attend trash races like "criminal records 1 lap" or this sh*t http://prod.cloud.rockstargames.com/ugc/gta5photo/5853/9Qwg0lKOIUu8sniDzkXTYw/0_0.jpg.

I also quit if others try to abuse me ("trap" lobbies where somebodys "friend" blocks you) or sometimes if there is somebody who won't ever shut the f*ck up, lol. But afaik quitting counts as a loss, never seriously tried to find out.

I guess 1:4 to 1:5 is about the best you can get legitimately by joining random races. Never seen better.

Well only 1st place counts as a win so I would assume that there aren`t much people who have more wins than losses with at least 100 losses. R* should change the system where with 6+ players the first 3 are considered winners. With 4-5 the first two are winners. With 2-3 only the 1st is considered a winner.

I somehow pulled host in a huge race lobby, I am so f*cking happy. I've been winning every single race since I pulled host :]

Oh you and I are on the same page there. Takes me five or six tries to get an actual race on a normal track going.

Yet I still go along like sheep into a GTA JUMPS race... Like some type of masochist.

I have 615 wins and 579 losses. I reckon it's from a combination of being a half decent driver competing against idiot drivers...

I have 46 wins & 5 losses. All from a custom highway drag race I made using only motorcycles. I simply added 2 ramps side by side with a small gap in between. 99% of players always used the ramps while I squeezed through to 1st place, lol.

And on top of that, I got free RP from everyone who rated it lmao!

yeah...you're cancer to the racing in this game

yep

GTA racing is trash it means nothing

This^^^^^^^

The wins in GTA racing are equal to wins in the WWE. They carry no real meaning and your win/loss record is completely irrelevant. Most people have "done the job" to allow friends/crew members to get wins to unlock engine and other mods. Other people have traded wins when the money glitch was out. Even if everyone tries to compete slip streams and catch ups make it easy for anyone to gain the lead or lose the lead. It's all a work.

WWE? You know that's fake right? LOL

Win loss records mean nothing. Say I race 100 races with 10 other people per and I win 50% of them I beat 500 people out of first place. Or say I raced 100 races with 1 other person then I beat 50 people out of first. That is not saying much. I'd say 90% of my races have 10+ people in them. Plus as others have said many set up BS races with markers pointing in the wrong direction on purpose making it difficult for anyone but the creator to follow the course, W/L trading, quitting before the race is over, crew mates blocking or crashing other players ect. I believe most of the people with positive W/L records fall into one of these categories.

I noticed I win a lot more often if "catchup" is off which I guess makes sense, I can dodge and counter people crashing and manage to get ahead of everyone all the time, but they always end up catching me cause of that "catchup" bullsh*t.

I've noticed that catchup only really effects those tracks with no turns whatsoever (Long Haul for example)

If its a track with turns, for example Cutting Corners then catchup won't really do much, well at least for me it doesnt

It's more noticeable on tracks that are straight and boring. But it absolutely plays a part in corner tracks as well.

You'll notice it in crowded lobbies when you get shoved and spun out early. The only reason you're able to eat up the track and win the race still is because of catch up. I've flown by pole positions from last place and it just isn't possible when catch up is off.

I take my turns really slick (sometimes wreck because those in front of me can't turn and get in the way or knock sh*t over in front of me) I have to turn sharply when I'm in front or suffer a 10 car pileup

I have 226 wins, 148 losses.

Knock off around 35 losses for helping a crew member and there you go.

So does this count as a win or a loss?

@Shadow

Your name duplicated again ! Find out what the threshold is as far as how many players in the lobby it takes for it to happen. So far I've noticed once it goes past 12 or 13 players the bug takes effect. But anything under 12 players is good to go. This is affecting the newer races, but host a few and do a few races with 10 people 11,12, and so forth just to see where it's happening. Once you have all of that send a bug report to R*, but don't expect it to be fixed within the next 3 patches. I've reported many on the PS3, and in some cases it took around 4-5 patches before it was finally corrected.

@Crysis

When you see his rank in first in last place duplicated, it will tell you finished 17th but won the race. It's a bug with new gen races mostly the newer ones. But in those circumstances your win will be tallied as a loss.

By the way what's this "boosting" your wins some people are talking about?, sounds like I've missed something important.

Trading wins with a friend to unlock race mods.

Its something most of us have done at one point or another, and that creates a split between those who approve; and those who consider it cheating.

Ah OK, I got you. That's as good way to loose money and time.

Not exactly, you earn money win or lose, and you can lap CR in the low 30's with all the stock super cars.

My record is 545 wins - 365 losses.

I mostly race in random lobbies. I'm much better with cars so I try to stay away from planes, boats, cycles, bikes and off road. I also try to stay away from stupid races with jumps and obstacles.

I don't mind long freeway races since you just need to stay with the lead pack and make your move for the lead at the right time but I much prefer technical tracks where you need some cornering skills!

I'm probably far from the fastest racer out there but I race clean and I don't make many mistakes!

Dude, don't you know on the internet everyone is the best. 400 races, 398 wins. All in stock cars against customs. I am that good.

Yeah, quitting counts as a loss now, which is why I too evaluate who else is in the lobby, and cherry pick if I want to improve my win/loss ratio.

The amount of people who think its impossible to have a positive record is kinda suprising to me.

If I started a new account today, and only raced with randoms, I could build an outstanding record. Most people really suck.
