theicide
There are 2 methods to do turbo start. 1. Don't touch the accelerater until you see "go" Or 2. Hold the accelerater before countdown starts. Then release it at "1". Press accelerater again at "go". The 2nd method is a little bit more tricky. But supposedly gives you a better turbo boost. Practice both methods until you find one that works. Timing has to be perfect. The more perfect the timing. The better the boost will be. I used to have trouble hitting turbo starts. But I now rarely miss one. I prefer the 2nd method. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/762171-turbostarting/#findComment-1066840680 Share on other sites

KoBo_043
So the goal is to try to have full rev's on GO? Struggling with this too. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/762171-turbostarting/#findComment-1066843387 Share on other sites
oleg_aka_djmeg
gonna be tricky on nextcurrent gen with all these fkd up starts. but the general idea was already posted, hit the r2/rt as soon as you see go. Furry_Monkey
You get up to about half a second after you see GO when it will work. If you can't figure the timing then just repeated hit R2/RT over and over and it will trigger the boost start. You can see then when the timing is, and once you've got it you'll get it 99% of the time. It's probably the easiest boost start in any racing game I've ever seen, once you get it. elfoam
If you just push the trigger a millisecond after it says go you will get the boost every time and it unlocks the pink paint even in solo races. On PS4 with big lobbies the lag is so extreme this isn't really viable so it's best to just hold the trigger at the wheelspin point for the car you are racing just to be sure imho. I didn't used to know how to do it and had no idea it was as easy as waiting after the GO, for a long time I tried to preempt the light like a real drag race but that would never work for me, anyway now that I know white lag I hit it 100% everytime, very easy. Now about the really big boost, if you are lag free in a small lobby or something you can hold the accelerator until one, let it go completely then hit it again a millisecond after GO. The engine is still spun up then when you hit the go and this gives you the boost + high revs (without any wheelspin thanks to the boost effect). If you take a fast car like the Massacro to a race and do the last option you will be in easily in front by the first corner even if you started mid pack. the nameless
Like keeping the beat of a song, i hit throttle slighlty after go 3 and 2 and 1 and GO and HIT THE throttle right here, on the last and. This is the best way to get used to the timing. I did it this way (3,2,1,go and - hit gas on "AND"), if you do this, and repeat it, it will go like this: 3 (1 second gap) 2 (1 second gap) 1 (1 second gap) GO (half a second gap) AND + R2/RT (turbo boost) 3 (1 second gap) 2 (1 second gap) 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/762171-turbostarting/#findComment-1066863355 Share on other sites
