trying to join a friend

friend a can play with friend b, friend b and I can play together, but friend a and I can't play together. We all have open NAT types. When I go to my GTA 5 friends list, I can't see friend a's level but he can see mine. He can see my level. Wtf is going on? We're friends on Xbox live and we're in the same crew. Is this a known issue?

Try going to online-crews. Go to your crew, search for your friend and invite him from there. If the invite option is not available press o then x and it should be there. Not sure about xbox buttons.
