devestator_x
I purchased a new PC a few months ago. Handpicked all the parts and put it together myself just for the fun of it. First game on it was ofc GTAV. Specs are: CPU - Intel i5 6500 Motherboard - MSi Mortar B150M GPU - MSi GTX 1060 3GB Armor RAM - 16GB 2133mhz PSU - Seasonic 430w Storage - 1TB HDD & 250 GB SSD Case - Phanteks P400 Eclipse The cost was less than a 1000 euros for a machine that can handle basically everything. The GTX 1060 is a wonderful card. As for how it runs GTA 5 than the answer is excellent. I run it at high and very high settings, as maxed out as the 3GB of VRAM can handle. Benchamarking showed FPS of 40-65 depending on various things, but overall it runs smooth as butter. Even online. Definetally recommend such a setup. So glad to read someone has nearly the same setup I just built. I sold my X1 to fund the build and make the jump to PC gaming. I've got... i5 7500 MSi B250M Bazooka 16GB Crucial 2133mhz DDR4 XFX TW 550w PSU WD Black and WD Blue HDD's (scavenged from older dead laptops) Asus ATI HD7770, but soon to be upgraded to an MSi GTX1060 3gb Armor. AboveAndBeyoncé
Ok guys I currently have GTAV and so far it runs well on my PC with 55-60FPS 1080p in most places with FPS drops to 45-50 in some places of the city (depending on what's happening on the screen explosions etc.) What would be the ideal settings so that I keep a constant 58-60FPS? cp1dell
i5-4690 and GTX 970 Anyone with similar specs running at 1440p or some Frame Scaling at 60fps? Playing the game now with everything pretty much at Very High, at 1080p, SMAA, and a nice constant 60fps - but I'm looking to get rid of some more aliasing so things look nice and wondering what settings you guys use to achieve this. My issue is that performance tanks when going north near vegetation with 1440p or any Frame Scaling.

HaRdSTyLe_83
-Snip- i have the 6600k / Gtx 1080 and can run it in very high 1440p above 60fps so at 1080p with the gtx 1070 you will get way above that even in ultra Edited July 27, 2017 by HaRdSTyLe_83 Verbose

DatShrike
Hi, I'm planning to buy / build a new pc since my really old laptop won't be able to run GTA 5 and I have a question: Is RX 560 2GB a good gpu and will it run GTA 5 at least on high settings? Someone is selling it for 60 eur and that price for me is good, since I don't really have that much money to spend on GTX 1060 or other nvidia cards. MechanicMammal
It will run with a mix of medium/high settings maybe at mainly high setting's at your monitors native resolution. The temps are they at idle or is the laptop under load? If that is a idle temp then you may have cooling issues. Also a RAM upgrade may be a good idea. The components on your PC are comparable to what I am using. CPU i73630qm (same family and generation as yours only slightly more powerful) GPU GT635M (About on par with yours) 16 GB RAM And I can play at 1080 with a mix of high/med settings at 30 - 40 fps. MechanicMammal
I have noticed the performance go down over the whole game since the update especially on the 3rd act finale of the new heist I had to lower my settings from 1080 to the next option down but it still looks good and it is butter smooth again. But I guess the minimum spec is now a bit higher than it was previously. Edited December 15, 2017 by MechanicMammal

Vik
You should be getting 50-60 FPS with a mix of low and high settings with that configuration. HeavyDuke
