Will my laptop run GTA V?

Laptop Specs:

Processor:

AMD A10-8700P

Quad-core

1.8 GHz/3.2GHz (W/turbo boost)

2 MB cache

Memory (RAM):

8GB

Graphics Card:

AMD Radeon R6 Graphics (Combined APU)

Storage:

1 TB, 5400 rpm

If someone could tell me ASAP before I purchase the game, I have tried these sites that analysis my specs but they haven't given me a good result.

Many thanks

I dont have a good feeling about this... but its worth a try.

So, can I run it?

Intel Core i5-5200U Dual Core 2.20 GHz

Intel HD 5500

8 GB, DDR3L SDRAM

1 TB HDD

OS: Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

GTA V is very CPU heavy at times, and it doesn't get along with dual core CPU's that well.

amd quad core a8-6410 apu

500gig hd

can I run it? Ty

Not even by a long shot. Desktop APUs will be able to run it with some compromises but a laptop APU will give you very bad experience. You would have to turn all your setting down and keep most thing at the bare minimum to even hit low 20s, which will give you a bad experience. If you really want to run this game, then I would highly suggest investing in a gaming laptop if you want something portable, or a desktop.

Do yourself a favour and buy it. As much as some of us here grew to hate R* and Take2 for their heavy-handed efforts, it's just as frowned upon here to provide support for piracy.

It might-maybe able to run it,but you definitely need more ram at least 4GB minimum.

It will start to stutter(Low frame-rate) quite often,If you won't increase your RAM capacity.

You'll need more RAM like Eliz said, but even then your system is really on the borderline. Expect 30 FPS or less at absolutely minimum settings. It certainly wouldn't be that great of an experience.

I would suggest buying it on Steam and if it's unplayable, refund it. Steam offers refunds for games that you've played for less than 2 hours. Ideally you should upgrade your processor, graphics card and possibly power supply to play the game well, though this will run you 100s of dollars.

I think the game would be playable with a lot of lag and stutter, you've got a dual core processor, which will ultimately bottleneck your GPU. And 2GB RAM... um...

Your GPU should handle the game alright, well in the lowest possible settings.

Since people come in here worried about their PC being able to play the game, seems like the right place to put this.

Graphic settings ordered from least performance cost/biggest visual impact to large performance cost/lowest visual impact. I recommend starting with all settings at their lowest, and enabling/turning them up in this order.

  1. Texture Quality
  2. Anisotropic Filtering
  3. Shadow Smoothness
  4. Particles Quality
  5. Ambient Occlusion
  6. Water Quality
  7. Tessellation Quality
  8. Reflection Quality
  9. Shadow Quality
  10. Shader Quality
  11. Grass Quality
  12. Post FX Quality

Honestly, you'll be lucky if the game even starts. With the amount of RAM that you have, i truly doubt it will.

Why? Texture quality has little to no impact on performance, while providing a very noticeable change in graphics. Water Quality costs a few FPS, but not too much, and also isn't very noticeable between Normal, High, and Very High/doesn't impact a lot of the game's visuals overall.

But of course, texture quality can and will be taxing on your VRAM.

There seems to be quite a lot of people running the game with textures on "normal" and the rest on high/very high.

This article explains why that is a bad idea for anyone with a 2GB+ video card.

Can anyone help me as to why GTA on PC runs like dogsh*t for me, even on the lowest resolution and lowest settings the frames never hit above 30 and it feels like the game is in slow motion and I'm at a constant 10fps. Nvidias optimised settings run like sh*t at like 6fps too. The VRAM meter goes to like 8000mb but I get 6fps at like 1800mb so whats that all about..

Specs:

Intel Core i7-4790 CPU 3.60GHz

Gefore GTX 750 Ti 2GB

16GB RAM

win10

1920x1080 TV

Also for some reason my Nvidia control panel won't open.

Is this even a question? Of course you can! Max out all the sliders with relative ease but don't kill your FPS with MSAA. ;)
