Should The Elegy Be Sellable After Spending a Certian Amount Of Money

That was a duplication/replacement glitch, and it didn't involve purchasing upgrades for the Elegy. I don't think that's what people are suggesting here.

So what is to stop someone from getting the car for free, putting the mods on it, then duping the car and selling the car for profit, while still keeping the original car? I mean they're doing that now...it probably takes 30 steps to do it...but still. It isn't a fallacy if people are doing it.

 

As in life so as it is in this game...a few bad apples spoil the bunch...you can't sell the car, cause of people trying to cheat the system.

Upgrading it?

 

As of right now we can spend close to $200,000 upgrading it with no return if we decried we want to get rid of it.

 

The Elegy is a decent enough car but a lot of people won't get it because they know they can't sell it.

 

A good option would be to allow the car to be sold ONLY when you spend more than $75,000-100,000 upgrading it so it can't be abused as people often try to do

 

Would you buy an Elegy if they implemented something like this?

What would be a fair amount that should be spent before the car becomes sellable?

People aren't going to not get the free car because they can't re-sell it. Most people don't get cars in the game with the thought of re-selling them.....

No it shouldn't it's got to have some drawback. It's one of the best Sports cars in the game and it's free to everyone. Just leave it the way it is or even better charge for it.

I agree with this. I only just got it recently after not having it since last gen so I'll probably use it for awhile and sell my sentinel XS. But it will suck if I completely mod it and then can't get any of that back should I get bored of the car.

I think its a great idea %50 return of mods installed and $0 on stock just to get rid of it as previously stated,it would not be a problem on the dupping exploid I mean why would one go to so much trouble dupping a elegy when let's say an adder dupp would be more profitable

I just want to get rid of the damned thing, I don't care if I get any money for it. You used to be able to get rid of it by filling your garage and then driving another car in and replacing it to overwrite it. Now that no longer works, if you have any space in any garage, it moves the car to another garage. Handy for not accidentally deleting another car, but sh*tty for me who wants to get rid of it. I've also got an old Entity I am unable to get rid of because it was pre-patch. Does anyone know any way to permanently remove these cars? If I fill all three garages will I then be able to overwrite it?

The problem is it's cost isn't $0; it's "free."

The Elegy isn't free on PC, heh. Its still a very nice and competitive car for sports class.

My brother really likes the Elergy, probably because he can't afford the top end cars like I can, I had one and fully upgraded it but it felt like it was really under performing compared to my supers.

People will find a way to abuse it. As they did before, which is why you're unable to resell it now.

 

It's free, and if you really want to get rid of it, just buy another car to replace it and take the loss.

 

That's why i said that the car will only be sellable after spending at least $75,000 if not more on part and you will only get the regular 50% return when you sell it so it won't be abused as you are loosing money as they would only get about $30-50,000 back.

Actually it's been $95,000 on PS4/XB1 since it launched

I just sold my elegy. but I didn't buy it to start with. it just showed up in my garage when I transferred over to ps4. I drove it into the lsc and sold it.

was I not supposed to be able to sell it?

Hmm, I've had mine a long time..it might be because it's pre-patch and the newer ones can be sold. I'd still like to know how to get rid of it though. When I take mine to LSC, the "Sell" option is completely missing from the menu.
