LOL Besides pre-order incentives also means that the player, which pre-orders gets unfair advantage over those, who doesn't, since those who doesn't won't get those precious little, but still nice things in his game! It has nothing to do with the fact gta 4 was a trash port. Its because the game GTAV was UNPLAYABLE on release for 3 MONTHS. Then were nearly 18 months down the line and still no heists. DELAY DELAY DELAY more and more broken promises and they think its OK to treat a loyal fanbase like this? Well I no longer blindly support them. I question everything and without proof I dont believe a word from R* mouth, They are full of it I'm sorry, but shut the f*ck up about GTA V being "unplayable for months." Sick of hearing that sh*t. GTA V was perfectly fine, the only big issue was that a few people had cars disappearing from their garages. Oh sh*t it's the end of the f*cking world! GTA Online on the other hand was a mess. For a community that likes to complain how single player got the short end of the stick of content because of GTAO, and protesting that GTAO and GTA V should be separate entities like that should have been - you guys sure love to consider GTA V and GTAO as one game when it comes to sh*tting on the overall product. The single player lasted 2 days and ill be the first to say the storyline is deep and engaging but at the same time after you did the missions once there is nothing pulling you back in to play again when you can do all the extra stuff in online and level up at the same time. Online being broken for weeks on end was unacceptable. I don't have it for console so that probably makes me biased towards a pre-order. BTW, it will likely be the people with sh*tty PC's that complain months after release that the game runs like sh*t, is poorly "optimized", f*ck R*, yadiyda... same as they did with BF4. In story you end up with like 230 billion and your locked at the start when you cant even spend cash on decent items and as for online I have like 30 million on my old 360 toon waiting to be xferred if i think its worth the cash drop. If it runs poorly ill just skip it altogether. Also, I don't have SA at all for PC (~$5 value I know...) In all likelihood there will be bugs, but I think they'll be fixed well enough for someone with a decent system to enjoy the game before the price of a new copy of GTA V decreases. But I am a huge GTA fan boy and I think the only GTA I never played was GTA: London. I am going to be playing this game when it comes out on the PC regardless of any optimization issue that may or may not exist. You must be crazy if you don't care about single player...that is why I order the game...so I can mod it....cannot do that on multiplayer (or you are not supposed to) so give me single player everytime! At least wait to see if it's a good port, I mean haven't they already pounded your ass enough? I will own a GTX 980 and an i7 4790K next week so it's almost guaranteed to run great for me, however they won't be getting a pre order. ill buy it when it comes out.. not before. I dont f*cking understan this pre order bullsh*t. Its for poor developers who need cash to finish the game. Personally I believe those people are going to be disappointed, the specs just seem to suggest the devs have done a good job as they are nice and low. All of the newer games should take longer to install as they have more features. Titanfall took long, yes. I'm also pretty sure it took so long because it was installing enhanced audio or something like that. The game released with few issues and optimization was pretty good! Even in beta. Every newer game will have a long download, lots of discs (Physical copy's, Providing they don't move on to blu-ray which would probably cause a sh*tstorm.) Leon42 Posted January 19, 2015 Share Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) you can usually tell a port from a proper pc release; - the size of the download / number of discs - the features or lack of titan fall = massive install (sound files) didn't play but someone told me it took ages to download and install battlefield 3 = massive install (bloated with all dlc) each patch f'd up the game just a little bit more max payne 3 = massive install (over 20 patches) slow install like gta iv battlefield 4 = massive install patches fails galore, lots of useless dlc gta iv = around 14-15gb same for eflc bringing complete game over 20gb rage = pretty big (buggy at release and pretty dull, it's like they spend all the cash on the intro video) turok = largish (crap) ports suck. 65gb stated for gta v, does that not scream port? or does everyone think it's a huge loads of super high res textures? coupled with the fact the game is now 64bit and requires windows 8. *cough* microsoft deal *cough* ? if it turns out to be a proper pc game and optimized everyone will be happy. what the game is 45 GB in PS4 already, it makes sense for the PC version to be bigger. the game does not require windows 8, just windows vista, and all games are 64 bit now, that's taking advantage of new technology, dunno why you would think that's a bad thing. max payne 3 ran beautifully, dunno why you include it in that list. seriously what i'm just so tired of everyone with things like IT'S A PORT BEACUASE NINTENDO64BIT!1!!! Some of the people do that for the reason you named, but some of them (including myself) do that mostly to make people see what they don't want to see or refuse to see to warn them before it is too late and they spend their money onto something, that isn't worth it! Why people like me care about how someone spending their money buying games? Well...it is because the more of those people make purchase like that, the more there are chances R* will charge even more for their future titles, since they see so many people sacrificing their wallet funds and supporting its current unfair business model...The more people will be convinced and make up their mind about whether its worth pre-ordering game on the first place - the less sales R* will make and next time it would motivate them to actually be fair towards their customers and not charging full price for 3 times released game!...If someone is clever enough he should see the connection in this logic! Other logic is unacceptable! I laugh at people faces, when they say if we pre-order MORE, then R* will reward us more and will listen to our opinions and other bull like that LOL...this kind of thought is just well...how to put less offensively - quite NAIVE...But i would probably pick another, much more offensive word, since it suits those people better...Its almost the same like expecting a thief to return your car in one piece, to which you given him keys before...
