We shouldn't argue with our elders especially since they invented computer gaming. I'm pretty sure they also took part in buying the first ever personal computer invented English and took part in creating the wheel. After my first pre-order experience with BF4, I promised myself never to pre-order again. Anyhow, the $46 sale got my attention and ultimately, my money. Worst case though, I can always cancel before release if I do so happen to change my mind. My pre-order money isn't received by them until the game is released. The amount of BS that comes from of their publicist is beyond a joke. Not to mention the game was unplayable for the first 3 months or so when it was relesed Yeah, they released one bad port, let's not buy anything made from them! It's called Once bitten Twice shy, the same principle they applied to PC version after the Hot Coffee mod scandal. Did you know they actually announced San Andreas PC version just one month before PS2 version was even released ? In other words, Vice City PC sales did good for them for them to not even be afraid to announce the PC version before PS2 version was even out. I guess Hot Coffee mod scandal changed their attitudes towards PC gamers (as well as San Andreas PC is the one of the most pirated PC games of all time), which explained the lazy port of IV. Hopefully, Rockstar is giving PC gamers a second chance by releasing an optimized PC version of GTAV. With that, I am sure V PC will once again get the same if not better sales than Vice City PC sales. And with that, hopefully they will continue their tradition of announcing PC version before console versions were even released. By far, the unpatched version of PS3 GTA V performs best, looks best, and plays best, compared to patched versions. I can easily trust R* on their games quality. I'm a realist just like i said the game was never going to be released on the 27th of Jan. I don't think yoga or lifting sh*t with my cranes is fun, neither is tennis on a laggy internet connection. A significant share of the people on this forum have never played the game, or very little, simply because we have chosen to wait on this version. Your opinions are therefore invalid to us! This is not a console sub-section of the forum which has had the game for a significant time and opinions like that can be argued as valid. But you stomp around ike a petulant teenager and want everything your way, but that isn't going to happen. Your opinion will be valid after 64 days. when the game launches and we can draw our own opinions on the subject. As for last week, yes we were annoyed that R* screwed us over again, but aiming the fire at he entire company is downright wrong. The devs have done a truly stupendous job, considering the rec specs are basically equivalent to the PS4 and I am expecting the game to give equivalent performance. But the suits are the ones that screw us, not just the PC fraternity, but even the console groups have had crossings with them, given the delays they have had as much as us. There will be more GTA games on PC, and they will be delayed just as this has been. How is this so? Well the answer is the modding community..... Our community extends the lifs of games way beyond that of console owners, so that is partly why we are getting it now. The console community is starting to die down and we now get to extend the shelf life, long after it has gone into the attic of the console player. But this also works both ways, think about the following.... The madness of the Youtube footage has been free advertising for GTA V, and the consoles they play it on, but at the moment nearly every channel commentary is marking the eagerness to play GTA V on PC, partly because it's a new platform to try it on, but mostly because recording off of and Livestreaming the PC version is so much simpler for these Tube channels, plus they also get to extend their shelf lives with the same mods we enjoy.... So in effect, the free advertising will continue for some time yet. GTA VI will follow V, as plain as day, but it may be a few years before it sees the light of day beyond the coding desk and storyboard. We will still be playing V, albeit modded. So R* will still see business with the game. In effect, the PC is the long term cash-cow, not a flash in the pan sensation like the console scene is. So we will be funding future projects and paying the bills for R* for years to come. So R* will always make a PC version, after the consoles of whatever GTA game it is.... The answer is simple - the more idiots pre-order it - the more chances R* will take notes and will keep supporting their current horrible marketing model, by pulling off 20$ worth game, that is like 3rd edition and just yet another version of yet the same damn game for a price of fresh 60$ one kind of stunt!...Its how much we give them our money that affects how customer-caring their behavior will be! The more reason we give them by supporting their horrible overpricing politics the more they gonna milk!
