SimsDaniel916
Amazon Video Studios periodically releases several pilot episodes of series that they have worked on and they allow everyone to watch them for free then vote on the ones they liked the best. Those that are well received turn into full series on Amazon Instant Video.Just recently Amazon released a new batch of Pilots and one of them have been making lots of noise on the Internet which is, The Man In The High Castle. The Man In The High Castle is a series in which the Nazi's (Germany) and Japan won World War II rather than the allies. In this series, you see the new United States which has been conquered by Germany and Japan. You can watch the Pilot for The Man In The High Castle completely free right here on Amazon Instant Video and I highly recommend you check it out:http://www.amazon.com/Man-High-Castle/dp/B00RSGFRY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421476852&sr=8-1&keywords=the+man+in+the+high+castle Edited January 17, 2015 by SimsDaniel916 El Dildo
Mr. Scratch
That's the worst accent I've ever heard, but it looks interesting.
Cult Of Personality
That's the worst accent I've ever heard, but it looks interesting. I don't think they're trying to sound German. It's probably taking place in America and you can't just wipe out an entire accent in such a short time. Similarly, I'd hazard a guess it's an American who has been enlisted into the Nazi Army. You can't achieve world domination solely using the German population.

Doc Rikowski
It looks good. It's based on a great novel. They changed a few things but the structure and the themes of the story are there. I really hope this becomes a great series. It has great potential.
Man-Django
First ep was not to bad, decent acting, and ok story. 7/10 Time will tell if it can keep it up. Also eager to see if the US adaption of Mad Dogs is as good as the Brit version! Some big shoes to fill! Straypuft
I know, year old topic, But this post is relevant nonetheless: The show has completed its first season and has been picked up for a second season. I love what I have seen after finishing the season the other night. Enter some non-spoiling opinion but still could be seen as spoilers: I am irked by how easy it is for an American to reach a high rank in the SS. I assume John Smith is/was American, the name just screams it Origin Story spoiler?: It would appear that the story has its origins dating back to the Great Depression and how the USA didnt recover. Thats according to the novels wikipedia page. I have heard about this show a while ago, But this show was a good reason for signing up for Amazon Prime, And now I have filled a watchlist with other shows that I hope to see soon. I look forward to the return of Man In The High Castle this upcoming year. AlienTwo
nik_west
I also just recently saw a trailer for this series and thought it could be quite interesting. Watched the first 5 episodes yesterday and now I'm about to see episode 9. So, this is my christmas series this year, I'm afraid... Since a lot talked about the accents: I'm watching the German version. Everybody talks German, except for the Japanese parts, then it's Japanese with German subtitles. I guess in the original version it's mostly English with Japanese parts, so there are no German parts initially, I don't know. For me it's typical German dubbing, there are no different accents. To be honest, the most appealing to me was to see how they intended to explain these "real world our-timeline" movie pieces in this alternative world, where Nazi Germany and Japan won WWII. Did some scientist invent "parralel universe traveling"? Or are they just really good set up? Or did a comet hit this alternative world, and the core of the comet was a box full of these movie pieces?! Because the series itself is in my eyes just okay. There's not really something that people HAVE to see. It's fairly entertaining and nothing more. My biggest problem is that the series is quite predictable. At least I could tell most of the story before it happend, which made the plot twists not so surprising. But, yeah...
Mr. Scratch
They actually started production for season 2 already.
Saggy
I really liked it, despite some plot holes... Why has no one simply killed the "Marshall" since he is just a bounty hunter nut terrorizing the neutral zone? It makes no sense. Why did the dip sh*t Ed try to take the pistol to the plant where he knew they were looking for it, even conducting searches for it, instead of just disassembling it and getting rid of it a piece at a time or just throwing it into a river? He could just be an idiot, but it's am obvious plot device. QUOTE (K^2) ...not only is it legal for you to go around with a concealed penis, it requires absolutely no registration! They def spelled out that he was an American, I'm sure they just needed some loyal members of the nation they just conquered in order to help keep insurrection at bay. http://i516.photobucket.com/albums/u330/AlienTwo/GTA/PMBO/PBMO%20Porch%20Sig_2_zpsz7irpplx.png
El Dildo
my brother keeps telling me to start watching this show and now that I know there's at least 2 seasons, I guess I'll pick it up sometime this year. the concept is interesting enough. I like how the 'neutral territory' or whatever is centered around Colorado.
AlienTwo
They call it "The Neutral Zone" and it's the wild west. Like it should be.
