Any chance R* will give us a GTA IV remaster?

If R* recently patched the game that means they still "care" about it. Probably we will see a remaster by 2018, but I don't exepct big things like a port for next gen or massive improvements.

I don´t wanna see my beloved LIberty City being flooded by spoiled little sh*tbags, because a wannabe remaster introduces "GTA Online LC Edition" and a new story with Trevor beating Roman to death with a dildo and then killing Nico by shooting laser beams out of his ass. R* sold their souls with focussing on GTA Online instead of putting all the effort in a SP experience as great as possible.

As much as everyone would welcome a remastered version I doubt it would happen anytime soon and a can't really see the point of it considering R*s commitment to GTA online on PC and new gen consoles.

I really hoped GTA V would have had gameplay and character movement like IV. The first V trailer looked like it was somewhat similar to IV gameplay. I don't know what happened there, it looked awesome.

Hmm well, if you want a decent high quality graphics option for IV you should stick to PC. I know it's not like remastered but still a lot better.

 

To be honest, the game is fine how it is, i'd not like to see a remaster of it.

Well I don't expect a IV remaster bit it's possible Liberty City could feature in GTA VI. I remember an interview with The Benz who said it would be good if they could come up with the 'gta world' including Vice City, LC and Los Santos, playing missions in each city and being able to fly between cities. It would be like S.A. where CJ could get a plane between each city, short cutscene and bam you arrive outside the airport. So although we might not get a remaster of IV I doubt it's the last we have seen of Liberty City in a gta.

Before GTA Online and the enhanced version of GTAV I would have said no way would Rockstar remaster anything. But, there is an incentive to bring Liberty City to GTA Online to so more people will buy Shark Cards. If they do all that work, then it would seem tempting to make GTA IV's story modes available too, because most of the work would already be done from updating the city, if they were careful to do things in ways that don't break the game like moving objects into scripted paths in the story.

I think it would be great if they did this! I've been thinking about this idea for a while. Dunno how they would handle music rights clearing though, they spend a ton of dough the first time around licensing the music they did for gtaiv.

They will obviously have to regear and fully optimize IV for Ps4. I don't think they would just belt out a "10th anniversary Collectors Edition for PS3" It seems everything is being made for Ps4 these days.

Not sure if they would revamp the whole game just for the sake of multiplayer. Even the 3D triology only made themselves playable on Smartphones and Tablets. Same thing will probably happen to IV, three years from now.

Doubtful. Though, I guess they'll probably port the game (and probably change it slightly, though not remaster it) to another device in 2018 (GTA IV's 10th anniversary)...

The best R* will do is to make the game available for the CG consoles while also releasing an Android/iOS version, like they alwasy do. They never do HD remakes.

GTA IV would be extremely heavy on todays phones, but seeing as technology and potentially modular phones in the foreseeable future a mobile port may come for 2018.

I dont like idea,that we need watch cutscenes to just go another city...why hell cant we just combine all 3 cities??i mean adding city borders etc.i beat that rockstar can easily make this instead any stupid loading cutscene+wait time.i mean current gen consoles should 3nough powerfull for this kind thing.not sure about old gen.maybey keep there that cutscene thingy? ?
