New thread for new news

If you pre-order Grand Theft Auto V for PC before 1st February you will receive $1,300,000 in-game money and a free digital copy of a Rockstar Game of your choice.

To make up for Grand Theft Auto 5's recent delay on PC, Rockstar is offering pre-order customers a few nifty perks like a free game and some bonus in-game cash.

Those who pre-order at Rockstar Warehouse will receive $500K in-game cash for GTA 5's story mode, then another $500K for GTA Online.

Pre-order by 1st February, however, and you'll receive all that plus an additional $300K fun money in GTA Online and your choice of the following PC games from Rockstar's online store.

Max Payne 3

L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City

Grand Theft Auto 4

Bully: Scholarship Edition

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Manhunt

Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Midnight Club 2

Grand Theft Auto 3

To get a code for your free game, you'll have to pay a non-refundable 15 per cent deposit that will be charged upon checkout. At that point, the code will be provided immediately. The rest of the buyer's card won't be charged until the game is released on 24th March.

DONT PREORDER! WHY WOULD YOU EVER PRE-ORDER A DIGITAL GAME? And R* does not care about PC gamers. They must be smoking something if they expect you to pay full price for a 2 year old game.

they expect hardcore PC-gamers to pay Full Price even if it was double . ( most of us are , though im a multiplatform gamer )

I already pre-ordered on Steam. And besides if I would have used this opportunity I would have gotten GTA4 and probably uninstalled it once GTA5 comes out.

One from an old pack of games, that been played to death already and another large sum of money to cheapen your game experience even more, instead of putting effort into making money in game by doing side activities and completing missions?? ...That is extremely weak pre-order bonus, for those who have to wait another two months...The only pre-order bonus i will accept is - flamethrower, chainsaw and katana along with new worked on solid dismembering animations, oddjobs return, that can be activated via vehicles aka 3D era style and that would be endless like in good old days and all of the DLCs to date and pre-order exclusive stuff available before for next gen and last gen versions in a single PC package! Now thats what i call pre-order worth purchase!...I mean worth all the time we had to wait till PC version finally gets its definite release date, before countless delays and unconfirmed and fake info and all the troll responses, we had to deal with calling PC players by names and telling how they hope PC version will never get a release of GTAV that is...

I'm confused as to why they charge a 15% deposit fee to preorder it from their website when it is a digital download. Other online stores don't charge a deposit fee.

I already pre ordered the game from a big web shop in my country in early january, so do i also get the 1,300,000 ingame money and a free R* game to choose from or do you only get the extra cash and free game if you pre order from Rockstar Warehouse?

At the end of the day, Rockstar is a business and like all business's need to make a profit in order to survive to make more games.

They did not have to give out free games, its their way of keeping punters like you and me interested, anyways, i'm not into the politics of what their reasons are, they will deliver a great game and we all know what the game is like on consoles wether you have played it or seen it on youtube, i think just appreciate the fact that companies like Rockstar are around to make a game that we can all enjoy.

In case you cancel the pre-order thinking you would get a free bonus game without paying for GTA V.

You dont get a R-star game free of choice, you get a free R-star game = San Andreas;) 1mil, plus 300K if you do this Before 1 Februari;)

For me this is very clear they are not polishing the game. They have known this all along that the date they want, was for their new fiscal year.

PS in EU the game goes for 59.99 euro = 69,30$ ;)

Well I will not buy this game at full price or pre-order.

The non-refundable 15% down payment seems... strange. I already own all of the games on offer, so it' s basically a "f*ck you" in my case. I'll be waiting until the summer sale.

The 15% is because if you cancel your preorder you still have the free game, which is then no longer free because you backed out of the deal.

Obviously if you own all the games in the offer this preorder deal is not for you, unless you love to buy from Rockstar Warehouse and will not cancel.
