NikolaDexter97 Posted January 16, 2015 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Let's take this for real, everyone who already waits to say in comments: ''they delayed the game to make it best possible'', make it serious, if they wanted that, they could do that for a less than a month, Rockstar has money, and ability to make the game port AMAZINGLY good, for short time, but they are lazy, and they don't really care about PC gamers, in which case before, I've seen that they dislike PC's ability to make mods in their games... I'm not sure if that's true, but if it is, it makes sense why it'll never have WORKSHOP function on Steam... But it doesn't matter. I'm trying to say, GTA V is old 2 years, and we are supposed to pay full price, of 60 euro, for game that is old 2 years ? Hm, I'm not sure about it. I was ready to buy game via sites like Instant-Gaming, G2A, Greenman... But after delaying, I've seen what they done. Wait a second you: ''it's a remake ! it deserves high price...''-guy, because I DON'T WANT ANY SPECIAL GRAPHICS, and in anyway, that remake isn't supposed to cost as much... But instead, they just want money in return for their no respect to PC gamers... What's your think about all this ? Sure, they could've easily released it with new gen version, but decided no to so they can sell as much as possible before going to PC, but that's what any business does, tries to maximize profits. But 2 console generations got GTA V with hardly any mention on PC. Of which One generation has PC architecture meaning cross platform development should be easier than ever. R* has plenty of resources to hire more programmers to "polish" the game. But no they have their thumbs up their asses and are hardly working on it. So we have wait months and years. They delay the game a 3rd time only 2 weeks before the intended release. GTA V is barely 1.5 years old. I believe that the RAGE isn't even capable of Steam Workshop, as it has no actual modding API. PC master race gets the game when everyone is bored of it. Pretty much. PlasmaFLOW Posted January 16, 2015 Share Posted January 16, 2015 I guess I'm just gonna buy it because I want the full experience, still its not 60 USD, its 50 (I know... 10 USD might not seem like much but, what the hell), and because if we boycott them I guess they'll simply not release the next GTA for PC. I mean, we already knew this was gonna happen; Rockstar always tries to maximize profit with GTA, and seeing that they had to maximize profits TWICE this time, due to the existance of the Last-Gen and Current-Gen versions of the game, I tried to be optimistic, yet in my heart I knew they were gonna delay it. Its no excuse to their behavior, but I'm not gonna get angry for something like this, as I don't have anything else that I DESIRE to play currently besides Dragon Age Inquisition (which is a HELL of a game) and StarCraft II. If you pirate this game: f*ck you. 60€ is a reasonable price for this game, even if it is old. Actually, it's not even old. You f*ckers are so used to your yearly franchises from Activision and Ubisoft that you think a game that came out a bit over a year ago is old. It's f*cking not. Even after this time, the game is selling well on all platforms, that is how the price drop is determined. Compared to most games, they don't deserve to carry that $60 price with the amount of content they offer compared to GTA, and few other franchises that really make your money worth. Now, FEELING that your don't want to give that much because of the wait is another thing. As I sad, anyone who has waited this long can wait a couple months more and get it at a steam sale or whatever, where it will be 30-40 dollars/euros. But objectively, the game is updated to not look dated in any aspect, even features 4K support (though no one plays at 4K yet - but will in a few years) so the price of full game is right since it is a full and new game on this platform. Also, while I hate pre-orders, early access and all that, in case of GTA V there actually is a good incentive for a pre-order. They give one other game for free as a bonus, and unlike other titles we know the game is finished and is good. After the 10 years these consoles are supposed to be around it will probably just being streaming boxes and smart TVs that stream a game to your tv subscription style kinda like OnLive did. The delay of Grand Theft Auto V is an obvious fact that they don't care about us, the game has already been released in two different generations of consoles but no PC. You may be saying that it's because they are polishing the game, let me tell you that you are believing a big lie, they had more than a year to do so. But know what? It seems that the PC community is full of masochists because you are still buying the game. Yeah, whatever, waste your money the way you want, go ahead and pay $60 for a 2 year old game. This isn't the first time that they fool us, you know? They released an awful port of Grand Theft Auto IV after a big delay (like this) and let it like that, they didn't even ported the game to Steamworks despite all the petitions made by users to do so. They screwed the PC version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. They never released Red Dead Redemption on PC despite the large number of players asking for it. You can pre-order the game, no one will stop you. But think about this, you will be fooled again. The main reason Rockstar released it after consoles is to maximize their profits and any company will want to earn money. But they are delaying it too much.
