Sticky Bombs and Jet Damage

Recommended Posts

I would like to suggest removing the sticky bombs as throwable weapons when in a vehicle.

For a start it makes every deterrent for not destorying personal vehicles fall flat due to how ridiculously easy it is to accomplish, not to mention that when traveling at high speeds detonating the bomb causes a glitch to occurs where there are two explosions from one bomb which makes the large blast radius even larger. Players would still have the grenades to throw and due to the timer I doubt player would feel cheated upon death. I cannot think of any missions where it is needed to use the sticky bombs thrown out of a vehicle for completion so arguing that they're needed for mission isn't true.

Also they clearly intended to have some kind of balance on which weapons you can use when I vehicle or we wouldn't be restricted to the SMG and Assault pistol, so having those sticky bombs just makes them the easy kill weapon which ends most if not all car chases.

When playing on past gen systems I remember it taking about 10-15 shots from the barrett 50cal sniper to fully disable a Laser Jet and after testing what they increased it too i'm disgusted! It takes 40 shots directly to the engine block to disable the vehicle, no wonder you see 5 of these thing in every server, they're nearly invincible from everything that isn't enougher jet!

I've already stated this elsewhere, so I might as well.

I agree on your terms for sticky bombs not being able to be thrown out of windows, however most people would complain about it so it will never become a reality.

As for jets, I personally think they're fine. They're supposed to be durable, for the most part, and I think making them flimsy again would ruin their purpose.

Many missions require sticky bombs, ones where you have to take out numerous trucks, vans, etc you can solo those missions with stickies.I like em....never use em to attack PV's as I'm not a little Troll.....

We've all had bad experiences with sticky bomb trolls. But they're too efficient in missions like Trash Talk or Judging the Jury as well as when dealing with armored/bank trucks.

Besides, who cares if they blow up your PV? You don't pay to have it replaced, they get a bad sport rating and your getting angry is exactly what they want.

DONT FEED THE TROLLS

When my car is blown up, I don't care. I mean, it's an 8 second call to insurance and then 30 seconds to have my mechanic to drive it back to me. Over all, I'm inconvenienced for a minute, tops. Woopdy-freakin-doo.

I dont get it, theyre too effective so you want em taken away? Why not throw some yourself? Whats the 2 explosion glitch, never seen that

The mission argument does not work.....'i cant think therefore i must be right'....lol the internet.....also those already mentioned missions....

PRO TIP: Dont drive directly behind the car youre chasing, stay on the opposite side of the road, if they corner tight stay wide and vice/versa. Much harder for them if you make em locate you, aim, throw accurately and time it right....all while controlling the car. If you follow in their tracks all they have to do is time it right. And NEVER follow an enemy down a tight alley...srsly cant believe how many fools drive into those traps.

And no ar/machine guns is somewhat on the realistic side...imagine waving a broomstick around in a car. No big guns effects players on foot more than it effects car chases....the guy on the ground should be able to lock on and kill the driver before his sticky even hits the ground, the faster he drives the harder it is to throw accurately. I dont know my main point here lol, not sure how to argue about the balance if ive never had a problem w it.

This game has been out for more than a year, im pretty sure stickies arent goin anywhere

I agree , all they want is for you to get angry , if you dont get angry then it really f*cks with their head , guy in a tank earlier blew me up in my dukes , didnt cost him much so i rang my adder , went into passive mode an drove it towards his tank pressing triangle to jump out letting the car reappear an hit him destroying my car an costing him 12.5k , i did this about ten times before he left , nice expensive bill he got haha

thats a good idea. when i see a tank troll i usually get a bounty so my radar blip doesnt show that i am coming after him in my own tank. surprise attack then leave session once i have rid the lobby of his tank

Just because you get killed by everyone during a drive by doesn't mean we should have to give up sticky bombs. Thats a terrible suggestion and I'm glad rockstar doesn't read these forums because thats just stupid all together. Its even stupider then nerfing the tank.
