If you're going to keep playing a game that is clearly far too advanced for you, probably best you stop crying every time you see someone in passive. Might make it a bit more enjoyable for you. In the meantime, I'll keep using passive knowing how much it annoys you and your ilk and laughing my head off whilst I play. Peace!

 

 

I don't give one solitary f*ck about passive mode when people are using it correctly (that is, to be passive). I only get pissed when people slaughter half the lobby for ten minutes in a Lazer, crash or get shot down, and then go passive immediately. If this concept is too "advanced" for your tiny brain, maybe you should shut off your computer right now and stop talking to grown-ups who are capable of understanding ideas more complex than "PASSIVE MODE GOOD" or "PASSIVE MODE BAD." It can be both. It can be a decent feature that also has problems and needs improvements.

Only form of "abuse" nothing can be done about. Had 2 guys do almost the same to me a few weeks ago...battling with one, whilst the other was just trying to block my vision when sniping.

I delivered an HPV in passive a couple times today. I'm also no stranger to jumping in a wall breach in passive with a sticky bomb on my characters back to get a random out of it, whether or not they have a bounty. I also roll in passive a lot as the game has been so laggy and out of sync' for me the past couple of days it's nigh impossible to defend myself.

 

I guess I'm a cheat(!) If someone wants to roll in passive, it's no skin off my nose, regardless of what they're doing.

Here's the thing: if I'm in passive minding my own business trying to get something at the store or trying to collect Dubstas or whatever and someone stands there trying to attack me and they look frustrated as **** because they can't do that to me at moment, I will ab-so-lutely do the jerking motion until they stop and then do the jerking motion back and by that time, I've just come out of passive mode to waste them.

 

I think half the time people are upset about passive mode because they were bothering people who were minding their own business who came out of passive to waste them and then they get all upset about it on here.

 

And yeah, there are times when someone's being a rambo d-bag and I'll absolutely pull the passive grief because - as people have noted people are going to play this game however they want. I understand that, I adapt to it. Additionally, people get so upset it's ridiculous and the people who get upset predictably are the ones then waiting outside my garage just like "RAWR GOTTA GET THAT GUY RAWR!" (they're combat rolling and I'm not even there because they're just so amped) and I watch as they're so (bleeping) focused on me coming out of the garage that they have no idea that the mugger is coming. Or I just put a bounty on them. The people who are so angry that they spend a half hour or more (I've watched people wait outside my garage for an HOUR waiting for me to come out. I mean, WTF? It's hilarious to watch, especially when it happens at RM4 where I can look out at the ramp and see them place mines and inevitably, they wreck themselves or someone else.)

 

The best is when someone's been waiting outside my garage for ages, I walk out in passive come out of passive, waste them and walk right back into my apartment and put a bounty on them.

I completely fail to understand why people are so mad about this. If you see someone go into passive and you think they're going to troll you, go into passive too, you've just failed their plans. Two can play the game.

Lastly, why am I thinking the same people who are complaining endlessly about passive are the same people who tell people upset about Lazers to switch lobbies.

 

So, if someone's in passive 1) don't stalk them for an hour and be surprised when they turn around and waste you and 2) if they do and you want to get upset about it, go switch lobbies so the meanie won't bother you again.

It doesn't, but I find it makes the person make a choice - either they're going to turn off passive or they're going to have to sit longer with the bounty because the timer's off.

 

I use this when someone in passive is piloting a heli with a passenger with a bounty and you can't get them because the pilot has a bounty.

 

Also, the best thing about passive is when there's a bunch of players having a huge fight at LSC. You just stand there in passive and rake in the money from what players drop. $500 here, $200 there. Adds up quickly.

Thats exactly what I was going to say here after reading and reading and reading..... the guys who are saying that Passive mode is abusive are probably the ones who like to kill players for nothing on Free-Roam then start crying here because they angered someone first and don't like to feel the same anger.... I ALWAYS use passive mode on new gen, even before get out of the AP and cruise to the poins where players are and see they killing each other, if you guys are complaining about this it's just because you can't do your deathmathes on free roam like you could do before, the Passive mode on old gen, that was a joke, they could kill you if you enter a vehicle... such passive mode..... I even stopped playing GTA Online on old gen because of this, I only entered the game to see the new itens tha come on DLCs on invite only sessions then stopped playing again until the next DLC, only on New Gen I started playn again because of this new passive mode

Helicopter blades, fire hose, car ram, jet ram, sniping out of a distant vehicle you name it I killed this lil beech.

Spawned at SS Airfield and saw the guy trying to lift his car up with a cargo bob. I thought, oh w.e he's trying to have fun..got in a single propped plane next to him and started the engine. He crashed his cargobob into my plane...it didn't blow up for some reason. I got out just in case it had a delayed explosion, start walking away STILL give him the benefit of the doubt because he seemed like a crap pilot.

Here some tips that might be good for you:

 

Case A)

If you were grieved (a.k.a he 'shot' first) and the griefer was abusing Passive Mode, report it to Rockstar through in-game menu. Select 'Other' and write your reason why you are reporting him. Additionally, you can also make manual report by recording the incident with your smartphone cam or anything clearly showing his ID and action. Then report it to Rockstar's email.

 

Case B)

If you were grieving that person and he retaliated, then turned the table, then I'd say you're a typical noob ass bully who got owned. Put one of your fingers up into your ass and whisk it while pressing the "Find New Session" button. You deserve it, you punk-wannabe.
