If you could host your own GTA online server what variables would you set?

 

I got thinking about this the other day and would set it to always be daylight as I hate it when it gets dark and I'm trying to take pics. I'd also turn off guns and explosives.

 

Oh, and I'd turn on snow now and again just cause I like it

i agree, this was already in gta IV . Current free mode isn't a session, it is a lobby where people join only to change race job or dm job, or just to buy an ammo, then leave, or join because they disconnected with friends playing a job (which happens very often)

The crew I'm in meets up each week for stunting sessions, and it would be awesome to have it always noon, no rain and no traffic. It would also be awesome to remove all the lampposts and other similar props, but I guess I could live with them.

I'd like to set it for seasonal additions.

 

Spring: Rains and storms often. A lot of weddings to crash and get drunk or just shoot up. Husbands to kill and newlywed women to kidnap =) Rabbits galore that if you find and kill are like moving drop crates and are only in the wilds.

 

Summer: A lot of beer and barbeques. Fireworks galore. a lot of boats available.

 

Fall: Plants are in the autumn mode. Zombies (or infected ala Last of US) replaced all NPCs You cannot use YOUR equipment but must find some to survive with. Anyone can kill another for their temp gear. All vehicles have limited gas a special button will allow you to siphon gas from other vehicles.

 

Winter: well just let it be winter like before.

 

Waterworld: An official Waterworld like the PS3 glitch. Limited pedestrians and vehicles in water. Boats floating about. Survival is paramount. Same equipment rules as Fall settings.

 

Oh and setting to extend or make a permanent Morning, Noon, Evening or Night on the personal server. I LOVE the night it never lasts long enough.

I'd give anyone unlimited rail guns + ammo and spawn ferris wheels and UFOs everywhere.

Now everyone can meet other people and possibly make friends to do missions/tdm together. How nice it is.

love these ideas, seasonal changes would be awesome.... although my australian firends might get annoyed at me stting it to UK seasons.... Ie Rain, Not cold, Rain, Cold and Rain (spring summer autumn and winter for those not aware)

 

also my matte blue and black elegy blends into the night quite nicely

And as someone above said, no cops. It's a pain when you've just got that perfect line and speed, and a cop car gets in front of you because someone just ran over a pedestrian

Hooker golf, statue passive mode, Giantsgiants colored NPC cars, casino and hiests, working cranes at the docks, no tank/jet icons...

And Funnyums for snacks, definitely Funnyums.

That sounds like my version of GTA hell... But count me in on the hooker golf!

R* really dropped the ball when they left out the lobby options. GTAO would be a much better place if players had the power to join sessions that fit their criteria.

Always snow on, always. No police outside of the city. No passive mode. No radar blips unless actively shooting.

I kill people because they ask for that, so at least let me kill them without cops chasing me as the same time

I can't believe it's not an option yet. There's nothing more exciting than playing without any clue as to the other players' locations.

So you'd take away something that requires skill (guns, not explosives) and prefer a method that is just based on lag and luck???
