The BMX is a confrontation magnet

Recommended Posts

It's hilarious just how much the BMX stimulates the aggression center of people's brains. Someone could be the friendliest player ever but hulk out the moment they see one.

"Oh boy, what a beautiful da-RRRAAAAAAGH! SMASH SHOOT CRUSH PULVERIZE-ay it is."

Thor forbid you either jump over or kill them. At that point, they get so angry you may've well have molested their favorite pet in their eyes.

This isn't a rant. I just find it funny how I can walk around on foot and hardly see anyone, but the entire lobby just smells the BMX and descends upon you the moment it leaves the garage

Do you know why?

You can't defend yourself and kill him, when you're on the BMX. You're not as fast as a car, and just as exposed like you were on a Akuma/Bati/etc. For these people (the majority) you're not a threat, but a cheap kill. Its like you've got a "PLEASE SHOOT ME!!!" sign over your head...

GTA free roam is like Call of Duty, sometimes like Battlefield. Might aswell try driving a BMX through Iraq.

Death Magnetic

Flying a maverick, I see three high levels on bmx bikes, jump out, pull chute, pop one with my Uzi, land and pull out the special carbine, take out another one, get killed.

Respawn, steal NPC faggio, give chase to bmx gang. Brutally murder each one of them.

Yes bmx bikes are death magnets.

Last gen in passive, hanging around a guy who had a gun out, but seemed to be afk. Just as I was about to deactivate passive mode...a third person rode up on a BMX and bunny hopped onto him, knocking him down. Guy with the guy stood up and wasted that fool. So I stayed in passive and joined a mission instead.

Comparing the central Los Santos Customs parking lot to Fallujah...unfair to Fallujah.

Too bad for them I'm not a cheap kill. I've been shot at plenty, but they've rarely killed me on one. I'm always ready to avoid being run over or lead them into an alley where they meet Mrs. Pinky McMinigun.

Even the terrorists on the right have to laugh! You could argue whether its a BMX or not... but they don't seem to be armed with miniguns though.

Sorry, couldn't find any photos of BMX's in combat zones. I guess it's too flashy! Gotta' be all undercover and sneaky and sh*t, yo'. Talkin' bout that pink beach cruiser with a flowery basket.

Have not ridden a BMX in a while...Although given I am in Bad Sport for another 22 hours I do not think it will go down well unless I am in Passive Mode.

Come to think of it, with the PS4/Xbone Passive Mode you could ride your BMX around safely if you really wanted to; just get back up quickly when you fall off!

You're still way more vulnerable than you would be on foot. And this is why they'll shoot, whether its a easy kill or not.

The thing about online is that nobody is a friend, and everybody wants to kill you. So getting on some bicycle and thinking people are going to suddenly play nice is naive, at best.

Play gta as one of the three guys in normal play, and you might be able to get from Michael's house to the strip club on a bmx. Trying to do that online isn't going to work. you might as well put a big "kill me!" sign on the back of your shirt.

If you don't want to be killed while playing online, kill them before they can kill you.

Loving his basket.

I want one on my bike.

I heard the US military was downsizing but damn I didn't realize the downsizing would be that deep.

It wouldn't make a difference if you were on bicycle, or in a automobile. ANY moving target is a confrontation magnet, really. Even if you're in passive mode, whether it be on last generation systems or current.

Seems to have some truth to it. Today was the first time in months I even rode a bmx in a online session. Went down to the halfpipe and ramps in decker park, little seoul. Had fun for a while, jumping around, listening to all the stupid stuff npc's talk about ect. but peace didn't last as you'd imagine. 3 red dots were already on their way down there, one with a Buzzard, two in their Zentorno's. Next thing I know, there's explosions all over the place, I'm dead, bike's wrecked, end of story.

Some truth, I suppose. But it does not matter much, really. Any vehicle, to be honest.

Ya I know, I was just relating to what OP said in his earlier post, 'cause today my bmx felt like a true sh*t magnet lol. Then again I know any vehicle you are in is a potential target, often depends on the session tho. It was kinda funny reading through this and thinking off the situation because I'm not getting attacked that much when I just drive around or mind my own buisiness.

agree and I like cheap kills

Commas, oh how important you are :p

I dunno really. I sometimes wonder if the way you react to strangers approaching you can change the situation. I like the little park above Hawaiian Snow and there's been more than a few times that people have rushed over to me, presumably with murder in their hearts and minds, but have ended up just watching me do tricks on the half pipe.

I just think sometimes if you give off a completely calm and relaxed vibe it can help tame the beast, kind of like Zentorno whispering.
