Why does Franklin spawn in front of the Ferris Wheel?

when i finish playing story mode i usually save the game while playing as franklin and then i turn it off. when story mode finishes loading back up, he's not standing at his last location anymore but he's always standing at the carnival. is this a bug? and how come he's always holding his combat mg despite the fact that i never equipped it?

Spawning at the carnival sounds like a glitch. But the holding an MG thing happens to me when I use the phone to save, strange.

Try saving as either Michael or Trevor, then switching to Franklin if you don't like his spawning location..

 

The 'always with MG at startup' happens to me too, irrespective of which of the three it loads with..

Save with another location with another character. Save through your phone, then do a hard save by going to the pause menu. That way the auto save and the hard save are synchronized.
