How to share assets between 2nd and 3rd characters ?

I see so many people on here talking about having a 2nd or 3rd character , because of their ability to have 2 or 3 garages spanned over all their characters.

 

My question is this.......

 

character 1 has a 10 car garage

character 2 has a 10 car garage filled with gold dubstas

 

How does character 1 access the cars in character 2's garage so they can be sold ??

 

what is a good workable way of sharing assets between characters ??

characters share the bank account doesnt matter who sells the cars the $ is available for both once banked

Other than the bank account, characters share nothing. They each have their own assets, including up to 3 properties (currently). Also, you can only have 2 characters at the moment, so you don't see people talking about their 3rd character

cheers guys. That clears that up. Definitely advantageous to have a 2nd character then =)

 

If I make a 2nd character , how do I make sure it doesnt just overwrite my existing character ?

I'm not sure about PS4, but on XB1 you can share gold between accounts on the system, so you can in theory have as many characters as you want as long you don't mind making another email address/XBL account.

 

I made a second account just for testing different characters, and get this, the name "Character Test" wasn't claimed already.

Like the others have said, only banked money is shared..

a few months ago a second character was helpful because you could double your car sales to LSC, but that has changed now, the 45 minute cool down period applies to both characters, so 1 car per 45 minute period is it....

 

you could set 1 character up for racing only, and the second up for everything else, but that means double grinding for cars and upgrades......and with the addition of the 3rd property its kinda useless

 

the only real handy thing i ever found for the 2nd character was storing Adder Bonds gained from glitching (dead Prostitute glitch).....but on the ps3 i am not aware of any at the moment

The 45 minute cool down was removed from character 2 because of a glitch which they rather than fix they disabled the second sale. No one complained I guess so they just left it broken.

 

PS you used to (Some six months ago) be able to full modify a car on char one but not put a tracker in it. Have a friend watch it / then swap characters and reclaim the car and trackjer it. That's how we got moddified cars on new chareacters. Should still work.

I have 3 characters so i can have 60 unique cars (except zentorno and massacro which are a must) my main guy character has 30 unique cars and my girl is for racing with my crew. Half of that characters garage is filled with best in class cars.

wasnt that patched and the modded car jsut disappears now?

 

Back in billionaire days i always used to steal a random ride, mod it fully at lsc then jsut leave it in the car park for some fortunate sole to find and sell/keep, but then the cars jsut started disappearing after a patch update, before moneyocolypse (aka The Great Wipe of 2014)

Not sure how much of a difference that makes.

 

I guess I just need more storage space because one 10 car garage isn't enough if you want to farm dubstas and other high value cars. It'll just help me to get a few super cars and upgrades that good bit quicker
