Deathmatch - Targetting

Recommended Posts

Roll roll roll, and make sure whoever you are engaging to make them roll first. With the little delay in between rolls, burst some AR rounds into his skull before he has a chance to break the lock. But if you're in a match full of rocket and bomb spammers good luck.

EDIT: Also OP, if you just started give yourself about 2-400 matches before you really get a good rhythm going. Learn the maps, the spawn points, if you're better on smaller or larger maps. Just develop a strategy that works for you.

Experience.

Main tip though would be (on Auto Aim) to make sure that as soon as you get a Target Lock you aim up to ensure you will get a quick Headshot. You can tell people who are not doing this since they will manage to sneak up on you, you turn around quickly and still manage to get a Headshot as they Kill you, taking them with you also since they were only getting Body-shots in.

As for AA or FA, I play AA now, although I have got used to AA - Assisted so will probably not return to AA - Full. This will prevent you switching targets by accident so could help.

In terms of just playing FA, people like myself who have played Deathmatches all the time, even in AA, can still FA well since you have simply had time to use it enough. Unless you can FA, this will only make you play even worse compared to those who are used to FA.

Lol, death matches. No one ever comes when I start them, and no one is ever hosting then when I try quick join.

i have the same problem. in 15 months of this i had spent 28 minutes in deathmatches. since last week i have hardly done anything else but i prefer melee for the comedy value of watching everyone beat the hell out of each other

It's hard to break the habit of see target, aim, fire in rapid succession cause ur instinct is to shoot as fast as possible, but taking a split second to aim up to the head then pulling the trigger is HUGE especially when doing a forced pistol deathmatch. Learn the combat roll, use cover, and last but not least play lots of Deathmatches.
