You dont have enough HDD space, if you were to make a total conversion mod you would have to delete the main install... And that CPU & GPU wouldn't be able to cope with 4K even with Rockstars past experience of very efficient code in GTAIV-PC!. But at least you know there will be no memory leaks in R*s games, so 60GB of RAM might just about handle the game! M0rk
YukiEiri
They HAD to bring it to PC because every GTA game has a pc version. Excepting lc stories but whatever No. - Grand Theft Auto Advanced - Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories - Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Sony Playstation brand has all but one ("Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961" is only on PC) games from the GTA series, so your opinion is lacking facts to back it up. YukiEiri
Before I learned the mistakes of playing console games, I did have GTA London on PSX (It did require me to have the GTA1 disc to play) That was GTA: London, 1969 which was available for PS1, London -61 was PC only. And to correct my brainfart, Sony is missing TWO of the 15 released GTA games; London 1961 (PC exclusive) and GTA Advanced (GBA exclusive). Perhaps I should add my trusty source, Wikipedia, here.. oshimapt
Any chance in hell I can run it? I have San Andreas and it runs okay, lol. But from what I can tell, I'm pretty close to the minimum requirements... Windows 7 32 bit Intel Core2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz Intel GMA 4500MHD 4GB RAM (3GB usable) Probably not I'm guessing. GMA??? Hahahah! You'll be able to open the game because it has DX10 support. And you need to have 64bit OS. Ok, I understand half of that, lol. Can I upgrade to 64 bit? yes you can
oshimapt
One of the reasons why the specs are so low is almost certainly because they've spent an extra year and a half compatibility testing on as many set ups as possible. It's hilarious how many people in this thread are really angry at them for trying to do something good for their audience. Such ungrateful unappreciative whiny little f*cks. You don't deserve games. Yet you still feel entitled to play and will still buy it anyway. Hypocrites. From R*'s own mouth. Over time, downloadable content and programming changes will change the system requirements for this game Its key to read between the line with R*. same here. people are so mad at R* but they are doing the job that we all want.. optimizing everyting to us.. don't be so ungratefull. we all should think, if R* can "squeeze" the game to run on this specs, other should be able to do so... the only thing is that they sould start develop first for pc and next for consoles... You quoted my post but still failed to read what I posted, R*'s own words i.e they said it "programming changes will change the system requirements for this game". R* "refuses" to release their flagship title simultaneously on all platforms. They are primarily the only developer that does this. Christ, even ubisoft release their flagship titles on all platforms at the same time. There are two and only two reasons for this 1. MS and or SONY pay them to keep it console exclusive to help push sales of said consoles( whic highly likely true in this case. Because if R* would have announced and relesed GTA V BEFORE though re-milked NG versions then that would have affected NG console sales) or 2. R* are scared little ******* of their game being pirated. Yet refuse to accept they are guaranteeing it and contributing to it. They have kept an entire userbase in the dark for how long before they announced the pc version and continue to keep the userbase in the dark. They wait two weeks before the game is too launch to announce it is delayed for more polish, but oh here are some spec's to cushion the blow, we also put it in that these specs will likely change but our sheep will not notice that part and our defenders will point to it to echo our "delay for more polish". It not ungrateful for users to voice their anger when a company is so disrespectful and ****** to a part of their userbase and continue to be. It is also not about being entitled, some people just expect a multimillion dollar company to be professional and respectful. So while its perfectly ok for some to kiss R*'s *** and blindly defend them like a suicide cult, its also ok for others to not do so. no i did not fail to read everything. what you are saying is pure speculation and conspiracy teories... everyone knows that game studios have to pay a fee for every console copy sold BUT it does not mean that MS and SONY are paying to delay games or to not leting them arrive for pc. the games do not arrive to pc because it is a bussiness decision and not pression from outsiders. using your line of tought, PC platform should be allways the 1st to get the game, because you have hardware manufactors like AMD/ATI, INTEL, NVIDIA that can pay for games to reach pc 1st. the thing is that developers are becoming very lasy over the years because pc hardware is really powerfull and can chew anyting you throw. intel core i5 and core i7 cpu's are equivlent to server hardware and it's hard to me to understand how they can create "optimized code" that these cpus struggle to process. it will came the day that they will demand dual xeon with 20 cores each.... ubisoft is really a bad idea of multiplatform versions... AC Unity is a good example of bad game porting or developing, wich is strange because the game actually runs on weaker hardware and it still look good, so it's just bad optimization due lack of time

Nope. Good thing. The manner in which they discussed it was quite safe. But at least they discussed it. I've come to accept the fact that Rockstar is just obsessed with polishing. It just so happens that this obsession is perfectly in line with their financial goals and Take-Two's fiscal years. So both the "THEY DELAYED IT FOR MONEY" and the "THEY DELAYED IT TO POLISH IT" arguments are 100% valid, in my view. Nothing we can do, I'm afraid. Von_Von
Why R* delay many games? "Its all about the money". In 2013 and 2014 R* made more money than any other entertainment business, music, cinema, tv show and other videogames. They do what they want and they are always the winners. Since GTA3 (2001) R* breaks all sales records, delaying only make's more momentum and more anxiety. All marketers in the world unite, and learn with R*. Eat, grow up and learn! Its not about MS and or SONY paying to delay games on the pc, its paying to keep timed exclusive to help sale consoles. I'm not saying the delay to March is MS and SONY's doing, if I implied that than I apologize. The delay to March was all R* and was pure business as I re posted someones comment explaining it. AMD and INTEL can not pay what MS and SONY can period. Even if they could R* generates more revenue from the console version so it would not be in their best interest to accept any deal with either of them. Not to mention AMD and INTEL are pure hardware makers who simply make "parts" they would personally see no profit from a game being exclusive or timed exclusive to the PC. As I pointed earlier when R* announced GTA: SA release at launch for the xbox, SONY tripped over themselves to get it timed exclusive to the PS2 and shortly after R* announced I believe a six month delay for the xbox. Again its not speculation or conspiracy its business. Speculation and conspiracy is believing they have been polishing the game for two years. Ubisoft for all their faults at least release their titles simultaneously on all systems, just as Bethesda, activision, etc do. AC: U wasn't just a bad port, TMU it ran like **** on the consoles as well, the game lacked development time due to ubisofts haste at meeting their own deadlines. sammystarock
I'm extremely scared about how funny I find the delay... Probably because most of us were expecting it, it's hilarious.I also laughed at the apology... Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly [...] Source: Rockstar Games - http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/52374/gtav-pc-new-release-date-first-screens-and-system-specs But really, I am grateful for this delay. I am going to be so very busy the next 3-4 months that a new GTA addiction is the very last thing I would like to have... On top of that, the specs are awesome. Maybe we'll have the chance to get a wonderful port this time. And the screenshots are lovely too.
