Think I can run?

Windows 8.1 64bit

Intel Core i7 -4770k @ 3.50GHZ

16GB RAM

NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

1TB HDD

DirectX 11

Maybe in resolution 640x480 with all set low

For more FPS,play in windowed mode and windows explorer desatived

FPS ~10 and ~15 avg

I don't see how a 760 couldn't handle V at 60fps. I use a 760, and all games run at 60fps. Are you referring to another GPU?I'm joking

He's being sarcastic and he's implying that you shouldnt ask such question because you have a 760 and the recommended is 660, which is clearly inferior to the 760

Its official GTA V most pirated game ever.

Within hours...

Only a complete dick pirates games. I don't care what you think about the developers themselves, but what about all the hard work that was put into the game over years, like the programmers, artists, musicians, writers, etc? I like free stuff as much as the next guy, but I also don't like taking food out of someone else's mouth.

I wonder what "requirements subject to change mean"?

Should I buy a Zotac GTX 650 Ti at this time? What graphics card is better with the same price?

EVGA GTX 750 Ti FTW Edition. Pretty sure its $150 USD or just get a regular 750 Ti which is about $130 USD. Not sure about 650 Ti price but they are comparable GPU's. 750 Ti is slightly worse and also better at times than a GTX 660 and better than a 650 Ti.

I have 750 Ti FTW Edition and it runs most games at high settings with 60fps and 1080p. Also power consumption is so good on the 750 Ti compared to the 650 Ti it literally uses nothing compared to a 650 Ti. Hope this helps :)

Same thing happened to me. (i5-4690k) Why?

Probably just a bug with the website, it said my GPU doesn't meet the minimum requirements even though my GPU is an HD 6670.

The requirements are super good it requires less then Max Payne 3 and that's an older game then GTA V.

The games two years old, believe me when I tell you everyone who worked on it have been paid appropriately. And comparing the pirating of GTA V to taking food out of someones mouth....lol. I don't swing one way or the other in regards to pirating, but if you are going to voice your holier than thou opinion please leave out the comparisons and elaborations.

We almost have the same specs! High-five!

One of the reasons why the specs are so low is almost certainly because they've spent an extra year and a half compatibility testing on as many set ups as possible.

It's hilarious how many people in this thread are really angry at them for trying to do something good for their audience. Such ungrateful unappreciative whiny little f*cks. You don't deserve games. Yet you still feel entitled to play and will still buy it anyway. Hypocrites.

From R*'s own mouth.

Over time, downloadable content and programming changes will change the system requirements for this game

Its key to read between the line with R*.

same here.

people are so mad at R* but they are doing the job that we all want.. optimizing everyting to us.. don't be so ungratefull.

we all should think, if R* can "squeeze" the game to run on this specs, other should be able to do so...

the only thing is that they sould start develop first for pc and next for consoles...

Not sure about a standalone software but game debate website does something similar.

Just a quick question guys

My specs:

Intel i5 3210m

GTX 660m

Ram 8GB

Also is there a possibility that I can run GTA 5 on medium,720p,60fps?

If someone can clear it up :)

You quoted my post but still failed to read what I posted, R*'s own words i.e they said it "programming changes will change the system requirements for this game".

R* "refuses" to release their flagship title simultaneously on all platforms. They are primarily the only developer that does this. Christ, even ubisoft release their flagship titles on all platforms at the same time. There are two and only two reasons for this 1. MS and or SONY pay them to keep it console exclusive to help push sales of said consoles( whic highly likely true in this case. Because if R* would have announced and relesed GTA V BEFORE though re-milked NG versions then that would have affected NG console sales) or 2. R* are scared little ******* of their game being pirated. Yet refuse to accept they are guaranteeing it and contributing to it.

They have kept an entire userbase in the dark for how long before they announced the pc version and continue to keep the userbase in the dark. They wait two weeks before the game is too launch to announce it is delayed for more polish, but oh here are some spec's to cushion the blow, we also put it in that these specs will likely change but our sheep will not notice that part and our defenders will point to it to echo our "delay for more polish".

It not ungrateful for users to voice their anger when a company is so disrespectful and ****** to a part of their userbase and continue to be. It is also not about being entitled, some people just expect a multimillion dollar company to be professional and respectful. So while its perfectly ok for some to kiss R*'s *** and blindly defend them like a suicide cult, its also ok for others to not do so.

A lot of what you said is just utter speculation, with no evidence to prove any of your points.

1) "MS and or SONY pay them to keep it console exclusive" You imply that Sony and Microsoft are working together to make sure GTA V isn't on PC. Yeah, not happening.

2) "R* are scared little ******* of their game being pirated." You do know that games can be pirated on consoles too? And pirating means no online, which is what 90% of people who want GTA V for, so even if it is the top torrent, there will be millions of users who will still pay for it. With Steams overwhelmingly growing popularity, more and more gamers are happy to pay for their products now.

3) "They have kept an entire userbase in the dark for how long before they announced the pc version" What else do you want? We already know what GTA V is, we know almost everything about the entire game, bar the video editor, what the f*ck else do you expect Rockstar to give us that we don't already have.

4) "we also put it in that these specs will likely change" No sh*t Sherlock, that's what has to happen if they make changes to the game, AKA "delay for more polish". Of course the specs might change, they might have less requirements, they might have more. That's what specifications are for, a GUIDELINE for you to follow, otherwise I'd say to myself; "well the recommended requirements say I have to have a GTX660 and I have a GTX970, guess I can't play the game".

5) "when a company is so disrespectful and ****** to a part of their userbase" Forget that whole parallel developed PC version that they've spent an extra $100m+ on, and taking the time to make it better for us so we don't get another GTA IV launch, yeah f*ck them right.

They didn't have to bring GTA V to PC at all, take RDR for example, but they have. So shut your f*cking ungrateful mouth, and f*ck off if you don't like it so much. Neither anyone here or Rockstar will give two sh*ts if you don't buy it.

Speculation based on common sense and past actions by R*.

1. MS and SONY paying R* does not mean they are working together. A proposal could have been made by one of the company's, in which R* would/could have took to the other company to gauge interest. R* could have drawn up a proposal of their own and took it to both companies such is done in business all the time. Lets not forget SONY tripping over themselves to pay R* to keep GTA SA timed exclusive "after" R* announced it would be releasing on the xbox around launch. Doesn't take much common sense to see SONY did not want it to release around launch for the xbox because it "could" help MS sell consoles.

2. I know very well that games are pirated on the consoles but developers and publisher clearly ignore this fact completely due to the belief that it is not as easy to pirate as the pc. They never gauge console piracy into any business plan. The fact that the majority of console games have no drm is proof of this. Also claiming 90% of the people who want GTA V for the PC do so primarily for the online part is speculative. All I see are people more exited about the modding aspect of GTA V, which may not be allowed for online part like it was for GTA IV.

There are millions of people who are happy to pay for product delivered to them in a timely fashion by respectable and courteous developers and publishers. I'd wager that number is dwindling now with R* fans. You are ignoring that consumers speak their opinions with there wallets. So like I said, people "could" pirate the game to play it until a massive price drop. Granted your 90% number pulled from thin air of people wanting primarily for online makes my "opinion" false, and maybe thats why you posted it, to feel better?

3. You ignored the context of my point completely. Which by now is not unexpected. It is the timeline in which they have handled information regarding the PC version and its existence entirely and the way they continue to do so. Do....you...understand now?

4. A point that a lot of people are overlooking which is why I posted it and not surprisingly you are ignoring. Maybe if you would get of your knees you could have clearly seen that.

5. Speculation. This rhetoric that they have developed the PC version separately or first in some cases is unfounded. If you have concrete proof of this please provide it. In either case it still means they have had more than two years of polishing time. That means they stopped with the PC version to spend more time on the NG version which means, see point 1.

As for it costing them 100million, farming out port jobs to other developers is not free. But again, based on the assumption that the PC version was developed simultaneously with the console version and is not a port this would be added to the overall general development cost. Either way its normal production cost for development. Which no, it doesn't me I will kiss their *** for doing what they as a videogame developer are in the business of doing.

No they didn't have to bring GTA V to the pc unlike the coded nightmare that RDR suffered that kept them from paying for it to be ported. I do not have to be grateful for a businnes doing....what they are suppose to. People like you who got R* **** balls deep in your childish mouths seem to think people who complain should just be grateful that a company in the business of making videogames is even making a videogame? Try getting off your knees and pulling it from your mouth and learn the correct context in which to apply the "grateful" and or "entitled" R* apologist slogans before fapping to you honorable sheep minded defense of any company in the future son.

System requirements shouldn't change drastically. The "subject to change" thing is mostly related to the required HDD space. Since it will obviously change over time, as updates to both V and Online are added.

Also, in the more distant future, they may come out with DLCs or updates that enhance the game's visual fidelity in one way or another. Models with higher quality assets, perhaps? Stuff like that.

It happened with Shadow of Mordor's recent "Lord of the Hunt" DLC. Where devs warned everyone that the system requirements for the DLC are ever so slightly higher, due to the fact that there's some higher quality stuff going on.

It's nothing to worry about. For now, at least.

suicidehummer

Any chance in hell I can run it? I have San Andreas and it runs okay, lol. But from what I can tell, I'm pretty close to the minimum requirements...

Windows 7 32 bit

Intel Core2 Duo P8600 2.4 GHz

Intel GMA 4500MHD

4GB RAM (3GB usable)

Probably not I'm guessing.

GMA??? Hahahah! You'll be able to open the game because it has DX10 support. :p And you need to have 64bit OS.

Ok, I understand half of that, lol. Can I upgrade to 64 bit?
