The Zentorno: To Buy or Not To Buy

Recommended Posts

Hey kids,

So a couple weeks back I sold my GrottinTurismo as I a) never used it and b) grew to dislike the look of it.

My intention was to use the $450K I got from selling it to buy the Zentorno. But I have not done it yet. I'm thinking that with the $750K for the car and then probably around another $250k+ to mod it up, it's a lot of money on one car.

I did this with my Adder which to be honest I barely use it.

Also taking into account the other cars I have, including:

- Adder

- Entity

- Jester

- Ocelot F620

- 9F

- Bullet

- Elegy

- Albany Alpha

- Rapid GT

- Exemplar

- Benefactor Surano

- Obey Tailgater

- Bravado Buffalo S

- Coquette

- Cognesenti Cabrio

- Chrome Dubsta

Plus a few others that I can't remember right now.

I am just wondering is it worth the money? I like the look of it but I've not really had an opportunity to drive one for a long period of time so no idea of the handling.

I like the Entity handling. It's stable even on sharp corners at high speed. Whereas the Adder spins out a lot easier. How would the handling be compared?

I also am liking the Cabronizarre (sp?). I've had one of these in the last but sold it.

Also I notice that Zentorno owners seemed to deemed a bunch of dicks. :)

Oooo and also I like the looks of the Enus SUV.

So. ... Thoughts :) thanks

test it out in single player to see if it meets your standards

asking the forums will just lead to hipsters attempting to force you to use boring soccer-mom cars which will lead to an argument about why people can and can't use supers.

Hmmm. I think I might be one them boring soccer mom car lover :)

I like supers don't get me wrong... But I much prefer cruising rounds in my Alpha or Tailgater. I like the "business mans car" type thing.

But then I do like to have nice expensive things lol. I'm torn.

I'm looking at the show off your cars threads an cars like Porsche 911 are catching my eye too.

Too many cars. Not enough garage space. Lord knows how we ever managed with 10 spaces max!

The Entity and Zentorno, at least to me, handle almost identically, maybe better turning on the Zen. I haven't used my Entity since I got my Zen.

All in all, it's up to you. I got mine because of the Tron look and because I had nothing else to buy after I got my 3 mil compensation from R*. I don't regret it.

I bought one mostly cause I love the car it's based on, but also to replace my Entity for racing. It's handling is worse than the Entity's, though I haven't tried it with a spoiler. It tends to spin at higher speeds and is just harder to control. That said I don't regret buying it, it looks better than the Entity (imo) and it's better for races. You can always try it out in single player can't you? Or join a race and play around with it.

I just bought a Carbonizzare and like it a lot, it won't win any races but it's got fun handling and looks nice. Plus it's a hardtop convertible.

then that simply means you're open-minded and not a pretentious nerd

if i were to suggest it to you, i'd say look at it from all angles first. if you like it's appearance, then drive it around some. if you like it's handling, then take it to LSC and have a look at it's bodymods. if you're satisfied with all these things, then i'd say buy it

the Zentorno is an all-around good car. there's loads more reasons it's popular than it simply being an expensive troll tool lol

Hmmm. So now there is debat for losing the Entity and buying the Zen.

Also, 3mil comp? I think I remember getting 500k when it was launched on last gen and had all them problems?

I also got a 500k when moving to next gen and then another 500k in a voucher in the game box. ?

I lost 7 out of my 10 fully upgraded cars in the character transfer.

Before you buy it, if you're on PS4 I'll let you take mine for a spin.

Embrace the Batmobile vibe. Slap a spoiler on it, rock some off road tires, and paint it matte black. Looks silly, but the off road tires (and spoiler) will help so much with your spinning out problem. Level up!

buy it, best looking/driving car in the game and probably best car that will ever be in the game.

never even saw the price when I bought it the second after I joined online after downloading the High Life Update.

don't test it, just buy it!!!

Just a trolling moron then? Don't understand why you even feel the need to respond to something you either have no interest or just cant be arsed to read. Why not just let me be me, with my "essays", and you be you... with whatever it is you like doing. Thanks :) see....smiley face to be nice

Depends what you want in a car. For performance you can't really do better than a Zentorno. It has arguably the best stats out of any land vehicle, at least on par with the Entity XF, Adder and Turismo-R, even including the little 'invincible from the back' drive by thing.

Having said that, it is kind of a dime-a-dozen car - it really is the car that mostly everyone drives, and if you want to be a special snowflake by any means, this is kind of the wrong car. It carries a certain reputation for the owners being stickybomb-happy 12-year-olds; an exaggerated but not entirely untrue observation.

The design is entirely subjective, although I don't care for the look of it. It's pretty sweet from the front but the sides and back of it look pretty horrendous to me and no visual mods can remedy that. Plus most of the time you'll be staring at the trypophobia-esque back of it, which always makes me feel ill.

sh*t car that I always place a cheap bounty on so I can sticky bomb it forcing the owner to pay the insurance. I go out of my way to hunt down super cars that are invincible to small arms fire to the rear.

With a spoiler the Zentorno will slide sideways for soooo far while under full control and still going very fast. It's just how the thing loves it.
