Bulletproof Helmet + Mask Glitch

I know a lot of people didn't like wearing the helmet because it looks hideous, plus it gives a huge advantage over those that don't wear one. But I know a decent amount still wore one with the mask glitch because that was the only way it looked good..

 

Now that it's fixed... who out there even bothers wearing these hideous things? I used to always have my helmet/mask on. I took it off for a 1v1 and now I can't put it back on with the mask, therefore I won't use it anymore lol. I'm not complaining, I just thought it looked wicked with the skull mask combo.

 

Did R* F up another semi-decent thing by fixing a harmless glitch? lol I think so..

Work on the wall glitches, godmode.. crap like that..

 

 

EDIT!! Sorry.. I did a quick check and this isn't fixed. I wasn't thinking and tried it on a streetbike and it only works on the ATV.

Today. Wait.. I could be a complete moron.. I'm pretty sure I checked on the ATV but now that I think about it, I might have tried doing it on the bike. But I'm getting on now to double check. This might not be fixed..

I really miss the mask/sunglasses/helmet/hat glitches. It's a shame they've been patched as they seemed harmless. They allowed so many unique combinations. Some hideous, some hilarious and some awesome. Sadly, I lost my sunglasses/mask combo during the switch to PS4. Holding out hope a new method comes along.

Never took part in the Glitch, although given this (from the Spring Updates Post April 2014):

 

"In general, we are open to keeping unintended ‘glitches’ in the game if players enjoy them and they aren’t causing any negative impact to gameplay or fairness in any way."

 

It is unfortunate that R* were lying through their Teeth as they have removed all such glitches yet those actually effecting gameplay or fairness (wall breaches) have not been addressed in coming up 15 months in some instances. Although the same post said Heists Spring 2014 so I guess even what R* officially announces must be taken with a grain of salt.

I liked the glasses/mask combo too. They need to just allow a mix of things that can and cannot be worn with certain items. I agree that some combinations looked awesome, others not so much.. but that's what made it all interesting lol. It didn't give anyone an advantage over another player so why do they fix these cosmetic glitches?

I'm not on the any new-gen.. but try it.

 

Go to the beach and grab that ATV

Set the helmet you want, then open your inventory to the masks section but leave it at None.

Now get on the ATV and wait for the animation for your character putting on the helmet.

As soon as he does this, quickly scroll to your preferred mask before he puts the helmet on.

The more masks you have the harder it is to get your mask you want.

 

To save it, just Find New Session

Put on a helmet (besides the bullet proof ones)

Set it to the default helmet (x on xbox)

set auto show on

walk into strip club

put on mask

Walk out, you now have a helmet and mask on.

Change your armor and count to 15 and the game should save

To make it stick go to the swap character screen and select the character you did the glitch with.

 

This doesn't work on xbox one but worked on 360.

I just did this glitch this morning and its ok. I dont see much of a difference because after i got it on properly i got sniped by a clean sniper twice in a row. I got him back and stopped killing him once i gained a 7-2 lead in which i gave him 2 sniper shots back, 1 car bomb and 4 assault rifle kills. This glitch does make the bulletproof helmet look better though.

Put it on through the interaction menu

Set it to your default helmet by pressing x while hovering over it in the interaction menu

I removed this glitch from my character because it kept bugging out the lobbies and kicking me to my own room. Once I did, the lobbies remained full. And No it's not my internet, I'm running at 54 mbps

Really? That's weird.. I don't have any problems with it and I last in full sessions for a while. Are you on old or new gen?

I mean I will say every now and then I'll lag out into my own lobby but it's not even a regular thing.
