It's called SURVIVAL!

Recommended Posts

So I'm new on this forum but I have to say this..... Why is it certain low ranking players think they are bullet proof?

During Survivals these idiots chase down the NPC's, often getting killed in the process, leaving me to save the damn day by finishing the wave!

Figure out a few hiding places on each survival board and STAY THERE!!!! The NPC's will eventually come to you!!!!

Just my input.

CrysisAverted

Sometimes when doing missions (I don't do survival cause waste of time/resources) I tend to do stupid stuff like that because I feel the need to impress/show off because I am higher ranked

I'm definitely the kind of person to just sit in a little dumpster for 10 waves straight, but I love when my teammates get killed - because if they're stupid enough to get killed, they're probably running around and making the spawns unpredictable and dangerous for me, or even better, trying to get into the same two feet of cover that I'm using and end up making us both stand up.

I've found that a lot of people do that. I think it's because they're competing for kills and trying to get the most. If I post up somewhere and wait for enemies to come to me I'm often kicked. They normally say I'm not contributing enough when I'm the one who is last alive. But, yes, I believe it's because they're competing for kills. It's not only the low levels, though. I see high levels do it as well.

No.

Taking risks is what makes survival more fun and challenging than camping in the same spot.

Really? What a load of crap.To put it simple,it's whoever survives & bags the most kills that determines who is the best at survival

I generally get the most kills in a survival and ill tell you what its not from staying in one spot. That doesn't make me the best, that makes me the one to take a risk for the fun of it. I've been playing online since 2013 when the game came out. (210) rank the honest way, but it just kills me to see players so gung ho.... At the end of the day we all get 30 stacks no matter who gets the most kills!!! I sometimes just sit there and get a free ride to 30k. Just seems counterproductive to me!

All he said was the challenge and fun in it, not the gauge of skill.

But in all honesty I like surviving, I like the idea that if you're out of cover for any extended period of time you're dead. Odds against you that kind of stuff.

Here is one of those people who think they are "bullet proof".

There is always at least one person who will bring up the word "camping" when referring to Survival in GTA V online....I find it kind of sad actually.

Anyway, who cares how people play Survival. If they stay in one spot, fine.... if they charge ahead, fine. Just play the way you want and stop complaining about other people, whom you have no control over.

It really depends which survival you do.. There is no way that by running around you would kill more people in sandy survival than if you camped in the doorway near the hotdog stand..

Turkey Shenanigans

I thought I was the only one...

This type of thing ALWAYS happens. I know I was a noob at one point, but Jesus Murphy low-rankers, GET IT TOGETHER!

It is especially angering when the noobs take all of the health and armor when they just waste it jumping in the way of enemy fire. >:(

Besides noob tactical naivete, which as several people stated, we all had once upon a time, I don't think low levels understand how easily they can get killed. One bullet can do it.

Now that I have wasted 1000 hours ranking up in GTA0, I actually have a chance of making it across an open space to get to cover, but low levels usually get wasted when trying that tactic. Actually, even if they camp out in the dumpster, all it takes is one shot on them when they rise up to shoot, and they are done for.

I think we all forget how vulnerable we were at low levels.

Also, I was playing survival in the industrial plant and it was me (rank 137) and a bunch of people below level 50... I go where I always went (that blue dumpster in the middle) and they ALL DIED. I was the only one left, and it was only halfway through wave 5. I was stuck in that dumpster with security guards all around me, so everytime they stopped shooting I popped up for 2 seconds and sprayed everything. I kept doing this and won the wave. After the survival match they all messaged me "HOW DID YOU DO THAT??"

WACKADOODLEDOO

I wouldn't blame new players for not knowing what to expect from Survivals. What will happen is, if your lucky, they will learn that running out to kill the wave is not the preferable way to survive. Your goal is to teach the noobies, not ridicule them for not understanding.

It's called Survival, not 'Camp Behind a Corner'. I find that completely defeats the fun of Survival and I tend to move around a lot because it's much more exciting to actually take risks and not just hide behind a corner. If I could, I'd hit a kill button on campers behind things like the trailer office in the scrapyard survival. But since I can't, if they want to hide like a bitch and take no risks, more power to em, me, I like the risk taking of being on the move a lot.

Camping behind a corner is the most effective way to (key word coming up) survive. As fun as it is to play with people who "take risks", spending the whole second half of the game spectating after getting gunned down seems awfully embarrassing to me.

I like chasing down NPCs on certain maps like Maze Bank and Sawmill, but I know I'm not invincible.

Very far from it with that auto aim.

The smart thing to do is move in and out of cover, but it seems GTA Online is severely lacking of smart folks.
