Sentinel Convertible

Recommended Posts

I realize how difficult it is to get this car to spawn online. I have only ever found it once during the early days of GTA Online...and it was blown up before I could get insurance on it.

But I since the 3rd Garage space was unlocked, I have really been wanting the Sentinel Convertible. Lately, I have been driving around the Golf Club and Rockford Hills in a Sentinel XS on and off, but I just can't get the Convertible to spawn at all and I really don't want to spend $100,000 for a car that I can put in my garage for free if I find it.

My question is that since they listed the Sentinel Convertible for sale on Southern San Andreas Super Autos, did Rockstar make it so the Convertible wont spawn in traffic anymore? Because right now, I feel pretty hopeless searching for this thing.

No, I got mine off the street. I found it on one of the streets near the vespucci pier at night.

What a coincidence this topic,i find my convertible today in a mission.

Thanks for the replies guys, its good to know my search isn't for nothing, hopefully I stumble across one soon. I have noticed that Sentinels, in general, are kind of difficult to spot and I get them mixed up with other cars, even after all this time. Right now I am strictly looking for the hood vents to spot them easier.

Isn't it on the website for purchase?

Yes it is, But like I said, I'd rather not drop $100,000 on a car that I can pick up off the street and store for free.

It's getting rare now, but you can try waiting until Sentinel XS is mentioned in the Simeon's steal list.

And they don't spawn together with Zion Cabrio.

Both cars are looking similar, so watch out for any convertible driving around with a vented hood. Because that would be Sentinel Convertible.

I see them all the time by the easternmost LSC when I'm selling a Baller or gang car. I also run into them a lot when I'm driving around the beach area when the sun is out.

It's odd that in this game some cars are rare for some, and common for others

The more you look for it the harder it is to find, just par for the course in GTA unfortunately. It'll probably reveal itself at a really inconvenient time, just as a squad of jet pilots zoom overhead and a tank comes round the corner.

I'd be interested to know what the difference in performance is between the regular hardtop and the XS, I've had my XS for a long time as I liked the idea of having the tuned model but I'm starting to wonder if there is much difference.

XS = better cornering, better acceleration, more stable...

Cabrio= it feels a little loose, less weight...

even the ingnition.... sounds different

Thanks for the responses, everyone. Still have had no luck finding the convertible, I've been using all of these solo methods mentioned above, the few close friends that I have, either haven't upgraded, moved on from this game or don't have a Sentinel. But my search got even more difficult when my XS that I was using was blown up (I never put full coverage on it because I never planned on keeping it). Like a jackass, I just didn't pull far enough away from a money truck I was blowing the doors off of and my XS became a casualty (the only time I ever made that mistake and the only time I'll ever make it). lol So, all last night I was searching for ANY Sentinel at all.

But this afternoon I was on youtube and noticed people talking about a spawn point for a rare modified Sentinel. So I figured I would grab a Zion and go try and get it to spawn (The Spawn point, btw, is on the road just south of the Eclipse Apartments and runs up to the Tequila-la bar between 23:00 and 3:00). The yellow verison popped up on the first try and then again THREE more times before the spawn window closed. So, for me, right now, these modified Sentinels are more common than the base XS or Convertible models. At the moment I have a modified XS fully insured and I am using it to continue my convertible search and also using it to farm more modified XSs at that spawn point. The Blue/Purple version sells for $17,000 and the Yellow one sells for $15,000 at LSC, so along with the Sad Trombone horn glitch, farming these is definitely a good investment in time.

I see them a fair bit, when they do spawn they seem to spawn in droves. What are you playing on? I'm sure someone would help you by driving you round in theirs.

I'm on the PS4, its pretty weird how others can get them to spawn so much and for someone like me, they don't spawn literally at all! From the first day I joined GTA Online in October 2013, I've driven in one ONCE! haha

just check around rockford hills during the day, closed session, just keep switching sessions...

That's the method I've been using the most, Still no success. I seriously think that my game has gained the ability to realize that I'm searching and is f*cking with me. Skynet kind of sh*t! haha

Yeah by now you could've made enough money selling Dubsta 2's to buy one and then some, but I don't blame you for not wanting to spend money on something you can get for free.

I saw one the other day outside the Burton LSC in the daytime, and I know I see the one with the red secondary somewhat frequently.

Some cars I find on the streets are worth quite a bit of money if I wanted to purchase them on the website, yet I can still store them and keep them for absolutely nothing

It still spawns late at night/early morning around Eclipse Towers and surrounding locations. Just used one to make the modded NPC Sentinel spawn.

Death Anghell

Back when the 360 version came out the Sentinel Convertible was extremely rare. My first one disappeared from my garage and it took me a few weeks to find a new one. I drove a Sentinel XS around but 99% of the Sentinels I encountered were XS'. Since the Xbone version came out I ran into one and sold it. The few that I've found have been in the north Los Santos not too far from LSC.
