New account. Disable old account.

Welcome,

I have registered a new user account "Ada Wong" because I wanted to change my username. But it seems that it is not possible for the Moderators to perform such a simple task, without having to register a new account. A username change task for the Moderators is just the same as an advanced software upgrade task for an Mainframe Administrator on a super-advanced bank or nuclear mainframe computer system on a global network.

I think the Moderator will spent equal with time to disable my old account, versus changing my username on old account.

Well here we are with a new account, still when the moderators does commit user discrimination where they change the username for some users, but deny the same service for other users. The forum rules does obviously not apply for everyone...

Anyway the good thing is that my virtual likes is being reset back to zero. Also my view on the account has been reduced to this: A key. The key is just to be used to accessing the forum. All other information on the key (join date, post count, and the super important virtual likes for many) is just meaningless information.

Now disable old account: PalmIsland!

Regard, PalmIsland! / Ada Wong

...why shouldn't we just disable both accounts? You're a guest here; while we'll do what we can for you, we're not going to bend rules for every squeaky wheel.

I am not demanding any thing. I'm just asking for friendly assistance.

Here is the common Moderator Tasks:

  • Moving and close threads
  • Deleting unwanted content
  • See that users follow rules
  • Responding to inquiries and questions from users
  • Assist and guide users
However I have not experienced this from all Moderators, some are ignoring to read my PM, or ignores to reply to my PM.
And now you are providing me an "invisible" threat for what? Because I just want to have a new username? Also I get shocked sometimes when I read what the Moderators write to the users (that is outside the topic).

I did ask friendly originally, first to uNi, he didn't even bother to open my message. Then I sent him an reminder after 3 days or more. Again he did not read or respond to my PM, still when he was active on the forum and did write posts.

Then I tried again friendly with Kirsty, she did read my PM, but did ignore to reply, so I sent her an reminder after many hours. Then she responded in a not friendly way.

Then I come here after few days...

I think that when someone gets promoted to an Moderator position, then it also includes responsibility within that position.

You PMed me asking for a name change because you had been a member for over a year over different accounts, and then PMed me again saying I have a bad moderator attitude because I didn't reply immediately. I replied and explained our name change policy and the ways you can change your name, you proceeded to send me another PM saying I am discriminating you and subsequently deleted the PM before I could reply.

Act in kind and kindness you may receive, but that clearly wasn't the case here so you are in no position to make demands.
