The Great Aerospace Convention [X360/X1]

I know all the great car meets, off road challenges etc are fantastic but I never see threads regarding the aviation community.

If enough people are interested I would like to host Aircon (The Great Aerospace Convention).

It shall be hosted on X360 or X1, depending on how many people are interested and their preference. Also given X1 has terrible network problems currently it may have to be on X360, however it may not be hosted for some time, by which time a patch may of sorted out the problems.

 

Everyone is welcome, preferrably those who own a plane not just a stolen Cessna (however given how difficult it is to get more planes exceptions are allowed).

This is an event where enthusiasts regardless of skill can come to show off their skills, paticipate in challenges are of course, the round San Andreas flight (mostly extreme close proximity low flight while avoiding skyscrapers, cliffs in the valley, etc)

Training exercises will also be held, such as Mound Chilliad landings, missile avoidance, and urban street landings and take off. Formation flying (with 10-15 planes I can see this being amazing).

Other ideas etc are welcome.

Rules:

 

1. Wait your turn to get your plane from the airport (we will split into three sub teams for each airport, depending on how many players we get)

2. No griefing.

3. No Homing missile launchers visible on your person, ever.

4. Military jets are not allowed unless you can guarantee to be responsible.

I see this as becoming possible now due to the variation in planes and with the upcoming Hydra it can only get better, it would be great to have a few camera operators and I might be streaming it on Twitch.

 

This event is not set in stone but put you Gamertag down if interested. Also where you are from, i.e your timezone so we can choose a time best for everyone.

If this gets enough interest I will update the original post with a list of participants and time.

I know is has been two months, but I welcome this idea with wide open arms. Given the new aerial vehicles from the heist update, I don't doubt there are more players saving to buy planes and choppers. I own a Velum, Hydra, and a Maverick. I play on 360 and I tend to be available on weekends. I have been searching for people who would also like to fly together and enjoy aviation without much avail.

Edit: Just found something called "The Aviators of GTA" on reddit. If you are still looking to fly with other people, this may be a good place to start. I just requested to join, and looking at their reddit content, they are well organized and active. This might also be a good place to attempt to start an aviation convention.
