We Need More Level Based Rewards

Recommended Posts

GTA Online's been out for more than a year now, and if you're like me, you're most likely bored or a little depressed that you haven't unlocked anything after reaching Lvl. 135. In all honesty, R* should add more content in the game that we can unlock beyond that level, like owing another property at Lvl. 150, or unlocking an awesome vehicle at Lvl. 200 etc.

This, at the very least, would give people an incentive or goal in grinding the game as much as we do. Not only that, it also gives R* a chance to get creative, releasing new content and expanding the game's lifespan even more. I don't know about you, but with an absurd level cap of 8,000, I at least want a reward or two while trying to get there.

There does need to be something.

With Destiny, each time you level up past 20 you get a mote of light, which is currency basically. I think for any level after 120, you should get 5/10k for each level?

Level 150/200 for the Duke of Death? nah. Let's switch the Tank with that. There's no reason a heavily armored car should be harder to obtain than a god damn tank with unlimited rounds.

Yes it should, it makes no sense that some of the most powerful gear is available to everyone now. Even if it is expensive, the mines and the stinger should have been 100+ unlocks.

If Rockstar were to ever implement Mansions, they should be level based. After all, High End - High Level. Definitely some more High Level missions too, along with mods/unlocks for vehicles after reaching a certain rank. At the current stage, once you get past 120, Rank has no real meaning.

mansions should be level 250+ imo

maybe have one enormous mansion that's level 500 so we all have something to grind for again...

lol grinding

if you don't have a life that's your problem

play the game for the fun, not to grind

Halal Cyborg

Regardless I enjoy the rewards for progressing in this game...to progress one needs to grind in one way or another unless of course you use an RP glitch although rockstar seems much more on the ball with this than with money glitches...

I have a job and a girlfriend that I love very much but I also play this game and those don't factor into whether I grind or not...

These are my ideas

1000 dollar cash bonus for every rank between 1-50

2000 dollar cash bonus for every rank between 50-100

5000 dollar cash bonus for every rank between 100-200

10000 dollar cash bonus for every rank 200 and up

Reach rank 150 to unlock 4 properties

Reach rank 250 to unlock 5 properties

Rank 300 unlocks

1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster

Or: 1931 Duesenberg Model J Murphy-Bodied Coupe

Rank 350 unlocks mansions.

JUST a thought, so don't go ape sh*t.

Remember what Rockstar said about the purpose of cash cards ?

"The reason we included optional in-game currency in Grand Theft Auto Online, rather than directly selling DLC, was because it was the only way that we could distribute DLC without dividing the player base each time we brought out a new content pack, which would destroy the online community very quickly by splitting players up."

I'm using their logic as a company here, and I believe the same might go for level rewards. Let's say all those above level 500 people out there (or higher) constantly kept unlocking unique pieces of artillery, like crazy weapons shooting laser beam, or something more powerful accurate and deadly then the minigun perhaps, or an armed vehicle that can not be blown up no matter what, quickly there would be no balance between the casual GTA players and the ones that grind their asses off and still going. So there are 2 main reasons why I think we might not ever see any higher level based rewards above 120.

- Rockstar want to keep selling not tearing the customer base apart (casuals and 24/7 gamers)

- It is probably not easy to sort between those who gain their rank legitimately and those who use exploits even though they say they have ways of detecting it.
