latency/connection issues for X1 or PS4

im having issues with X1 mainly latency/connection issues from day one.

the worst being kicked from the game altogether ike back to home screen (XB1) and have to load the game up from the beginning. all the money etc I made in the 2 hours or so of playing lost!!!!!!!!!

im in Australia my XBL connection is as follows 18 to 19 mbps download 0.58 upload with a 235 to 245 latency. I did a ping test from my computer I got the same download and upload but my ping/latency is 80ms. this is ADSL2+ so.... can anyone tell me why the difference??

 

also ive got a work mate that plays gta on ps4, has ADSL2+ but has next to no issues with matches, always finds a lobby with people, only 1 time did he get the 'unknown connection error' so......... can the ps4 users tell me if they have been having the same problems?? pref ones in Australia cause I don't think XBL has proper servers here

 

and yes I am aware that the lizard retards have been attacking gaming servers

Is your xbox wired to your router or do you use a wireless connection?

 

a ping of 245 is gonna cripple your connection, thats waay too high.

 

Even 80 your gonna see some lag, but not too much.

 

One way or another though IMO your connection shouldnt be pinging that high at 18-19meg, unless theres a packet loss issue or your connecting to server that are a million miles away and congested

I have a wireless connection from my xbox to my router which is about 12 feet away. I forgot to mention that I still have a open nat type.

this has been happening to me from day 1 with the xbox 1. on my 360 didn't have as many problems maybe once every 3 weeks I would get an unknown network connection error, which wasn't so bad. but with the xbox 1 in a 4 hour playng time I prob would spend about 1.5 to 2 hour of trying to get into lobbies with other players n when I do ill play for about half an hour then connection error or the entire lobby leaves which means I get kicked not the others. most of the time when I spawn onto public lobbies im there by myself n no one joins. but as you said if im connecting to a server a million miles away and is congested with say 20 payers in the lobby that could be why after a while the server kicks me cause im lagging to much.

 

I also get data transfer errors ike the game still thinks im transferring my character, but most of the time its network connection error just before I spawn into lobby

I did a test about 30mins ago preety much the same with a 201ms ping it also stated that I have 0 packet loss. looks like I have to have faster internet but adsl 2+ is the best I can get. my ISP says there's nothing wrong on there end, but I might change ISP's or get a new router.
